I have currently started working for Helping Hands 5 weeks ago. The support, encouragement and training is brilliant from management and staff at Accrington Branch.
Each home that we visit has different needs. The feeling that you can help makes a difference.
Although I am working, it never feels like it. The appreciation I receive from management and service users is amazing. It inspires you to do more.
Working for Helping Hands Accrington has made a great difference in my personal well being. I can honestly say I love my job. Fantastic branch to work for.

It has been a joy to have carers from Helping Hands. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and they have built up a great rapport with my sister. It makes my life so much easier to know that she is so well cared for and that I can relax when they are with her.
They have also provided live in care on one occasion, so far, and this was also a success.

We have been highly satisfied and extremely grateful for the care being provided for my Dad by Helping Hands. They responded to our initial enquiry immediately and Jeanette (the manager for our area) visited the next day, wearing full PPE, to do an assessment of Dad’s needs. A care package was put in place virtually straight away and we have been delighted with the service Dad has received ever since. Every member of staff has been friendly , polite, compassionate, and helpful. The team has also all been extremely reliable and have not missed any visits or been late, whilst remaining very flexible if we have needed to change any of the schedule to fit in with my Dad. Every member of staff has received training from a senior member of staff before being allowed to care for my Dad on their own. This means that my Dad has never had to start from scratch explaining his needs if a new person has joined the team. I don’t know of any other care agency that goes to these lengths to care for their clients . Helping Hands provides an exceptional standard of care and in these worrying times it is very reassuring to witness that hygiene and protecting their clients is a major priority to them. The service they are providing for my Dad is not only helping him but the whole family, especially my Mum, whose health was deteriorating through exhaustion of trying to care for him.
