Acton’s name is derived from the Old English words āc (oak) and tūn (enclosed garden, enclosure), literally meaning "a garden or a field enclosed by oaks", suggesting Acton originated from somewhat humble beginnings.
Established in 1989 from similarly humble beginnings, Helping Hands was a family-run business for 30 years and has developed a reputation for compassionate, diligent home care. We still have a strong family-centred ethos, with people at the heart of everything that we do, and with our care plans starting from just 30 minutes a week we’re sure to be able to find a support plan to meet your specific wishes.
