The service in friendly, personal and efficient.

Carer Charlene has been fantastic with our mother. Very professional and my mother only smiles when her name is mentioned. I am delighted that helpings hands are looking after our mother cannot speak highly enough about them.

Very Professional

There was a very sympathetic lady who answered the phone to me and let me ramble away about my MIL and all her problems it made me feel so much happier about the whole thing.

Overall I am very pleased with the care my mum is getting. Mum says all the carers are very nice and they have all kept a very close eye on a bump she has on her leg which I am grateful for. The only reason I did not give a score of 5 is because of the lack on continuity of carers. In the 8 days up to last Saturday (10th August) mum had 8 different carers in as many days. One of the things we were assured when we started with Helping hands was that there would be continuity and that there would probably be 3 different carers (one main one and 2 others to cover holidays, days off etc). Each time someone new comes mum has to keep telling them what to do which is starting to frustrate her as she doesn't want to keep having to do this. She really wants to see the same team of people so that she can get to know them and they can get to know her. I know Lorraine, her main carer is having an operation shortly which will take her out of action for quite a few weeks. I absolutely know this can't be helped and I wish her all the best but I know mum will miss her as she has really taken to her and is now worried that there will be even more different people coming. If there is something that can be done to improve the continuity that would be great.

carers are really good, they care ABOUT the person, not just care FOR the person.. The care is however certainly not cheap!

When I first contacted Helping Hands, Lindsey was very helpful over the phone and kept in contact, and Marie Andrews came to meet us at mum and dad's on Thursday last and she helped and advised us whilst talking to us all about the kind of support we wanted and that could be offered to help. I was a bit worried about calling not knowing what to expect, but from the start Lindsey was very friendly and listened extremely well. She answered the phone in a bubbly way which I commented on. Thanks to her I was immediately comfortable.

Adviser excellent in answering all my questions - can't give top score at the moment as I need to digest all that was said!

An appointment was made at a convenient time. I was given the information I asked about.

Because the woman was sensitive and refreshing thoughtful

I am collecting the forms behalf of ,y mother who is the service recipient. I am therefore relying on her information and am yet to see things first hand. Mom assures me she is happy with her helper and how she is completing her tasks

I am waiting for the documentation from the visit to be delivered as promised. But the interview here was very thorough and helpful.

Despite a mix up on the first day the service received since has been excellent.

The assessor was patient, understanding and obviously experienced in care.

She was lovely with Mom and so understanding of the need to just say they were just coming to help with cleaning. Mom doesnt want a carer! So this was easier for Mom to accept. We are waiting to here the cleaners name for next Tue but we are happy.

Just perfect info

My Care's i have are good i do not like two new carer together as i feel they are not trained to a high stranded or confident enough. When their have only been with helping hand a few week. i am not a paid member of staff. i a service user that have to teach carers how to put a six point sling on and also teach them how to put my pads on. I have not got a care plan present in my home so carer can not see what my needs are I would appreciate regular carers or a manager to over see my care.

The caters I have had have been really good
