What does our assisted living support include?

Since 1989, Helping Hands have been providing compassionate, person-centred home care to people with varying types and levels of support needs. In that time, we’ve helped tens of thousands of people to remain independent, confident and secure in the comfortable, familiar surroundings of their own homes. Plus, for your added peace of mind, we’re fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, so you know you’ll always receive only the very best care.

One of the care services we offer is assisted living, which involves us working with you to keep you in the home you love because we know how important it is to you.

Our carers will be able to help out around the home with just about anything you may need assistance with – whether that’s personal care, housekeeping, preparing meals, helping you get out and about, and much more. Your home is where you feel most comfortable and we understand why you don’t want to leave it, whether it’s the place where you raised your children, the garden that you lovingly planted or where you and your partner spent many happy years together.

Plus, for your added peace of mind, we’re fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, so you know you’ll always receive only the very best care.

When to consider this type of support?

Assisted living can be a valuable source of support around the home for anyone who is living with a complex medical condition or a disability and is finding it difficult to manage from day to day. One of the main advantages of opting for supported living at home is that you’ll be able to receive care on your own terms, rather than having to abide by the schedules and routines imposed by a residential care home. With one-to-one support from a visiting carer or live-in carer, your support can be tailored to your needs, so that you’re truly being enabled to live the lifestyle you want and enjoy the quality of life you deserve. And, should your needs ever change, we can recommend suitable amendments to your care plan.

How much does assisted living cost?

The cost of supported living from Helping Hands will vary depending on your level of need. Our visiting care packages start from £31.00 per hour, whilst live-in care prices start at £1,650 per week for one person and £1,650 per week for a couple. Each care visit also incurs a £4.50 fee to cover your carer’s costs.

We know how important it is to you that your care is straightforward to arrange, sustainably affordable, and doesn’t come with any unwanted extras or additional costs. That’s why we’re completely transparent about the upfront costs involved in our industry-leading home care, and will never ever try to push you to sign up for any extra hours or services that you don’t want or need. Your local care manager in Bromsgrove will always be on hand to help you make any changes you wish to make to your support at a moment’s notice.
