Meet the Camden care team
Branch Care Manager
I am responsible for ensuring the service is safe and fully compliant with all legal regulations and am accountable for the overall leadership of the service. I line manage a team of a Care Coordinator, and two Care & Training Practitioners, and ensure our carers are managed effectively. I am responsible for business development for my branch and ensuring the service is viable by working with key stakeholders within the business and reviewing our business and marketing plans. I volunteered at a day centre for adults with learning difficulties in my late teens and decided then that I wanted a career supporting people to live a fulfilling life. I feel proud of the service we provide and the carers we have are all very reliable and enjoy the work that they do. I love to read and I love to travel, as well as enjoying spending time with friends and family.

Live-in care for extra reassurance
-
More and more people are choosing live-in care, as opposed to residential care, for themselves or a loved one. Live-in care offers a stress-free resolution for those that require more intensive support but who don’t want to leave to familiarity of their own home.
A carer will live with you in your home, offering round-the-clock support as and when you require. What’s more, they will get to know you and how you like things done, instead of being prescribed to a strict timetable similar to a nursing home. You’re in complete control of your support plan including when you eat, get up and what you do during the day, keeping everything to your preferences.
We also have a team of experienced clinical nurses that ensure those with more intricate needs are catered for. So, whether you have a spinal injury, neurological condition or complex health needs, they will select carers with the relevant experience to support you so that you can receive high quality care tailored to your requirements – all within the comfort of your own home.

Dementia support for you and your loved one
-
As the leading provider for specialist dementia care and with detailed dementia training for all of our managers and carers, you can rest safe in the knowledge that your loved one is receiving the very best care from us that is suited to them.
Those living with dementia often have difficulties with memory, routine, and social interaction. With this in mind, we’ll take our time to get to know how your loved one likes to spend their day and any particular tasks that they struggle with, so that the care they receive is completely person-centred and enables them to ‘live well’ with dementia, rather than ‘suffer from’.

A helping hand with elderly care
-
Aging is inevitable, but it doesn’t mean that you have to leave your home for residential care or give up your favourite hobbies and social commitments. Elderly care from the Camden team means that you can continue doing the things you love, just with a little extra support along the way.
So, if you enjoy taking in the sights at Primrose Hill or miss visiting the British Library and spending the afternoon scouring the shelves for your favourite novels, we’ll be right there with you ensuring that you have a great day out.
We’ll also help with things around the house, such as doing a spot of dusting, vacuuming, washing up or changing your bed. And if you have a tasty recipe that you like to make but have difficulty getting the ingredients and working your way around the kitchen, we can help you to and from the shops, making the food and with the clean up afterwards.

Respite care for a short-term solution
-
Whether you’re convalescing after a spell in hospital or your regular carer needs to tend to a family emergency, respite care can often be arranged in as little as 24 hours after your initial enquiry. That way, you can be safe in the knowledge that you or a loved one has the support they need from an experienced carer during what can often be a difficult time.
We can even accompany you on holiday or to a celebration if you’re worried about going alone or want to allow your family and friends to enjoy the event or holiday with you without having to worry about your care. We’ll be there for the entirety of your stay and accompany you to and from the destination, ensuring you’re safe and cared for.

Fully-trained carers in Camden
-
For the past 30 years, we have been recruiting and training carers to the very highest standards and we have even been recognised as a Centre of Excellence for our in-house training programme. Our talented instructors take our new recruits through a variety of modules, including manual handling, first aid, dementia, diversity and equality, personal care, medication and finances. And all of our carers undergo regular refreshers training to ensure that are carrying out the latest and safest practice.
As with any reputable care organisation, we follow the strict guidelines set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and are regularly inspected to ensure our service is safe, effective and responsive for both our customers and staff. Receiving care from a regulated provider means that you can rest assured that the care you’re receiving is fully vetted and delivered to a high standard.
