Visiting care and home care in Corsham

Once a centre for the wool industry and a thriving agricultural hub, Corsham in Wiltshire is still an important focus for the quarrying of Bath Stone. The area also has many historic buildings, not least Corsham Court, which was an administrative centre for the Ministry of Defence for many years. Manufacturing also took place, both above and below ground, in tunnels that were specially quarried.

While Helping Hands can’t claim to have made such a contribution to the defence of the country, we can blow our own trumpets about the difference we make to people’s lives, every single day. Our carers work on both a visiting and live-in care basis, making sure that all of our support is delivered to the highest standards, and fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales.

A smiling elderly woman opens her front door to a carer who stands outside, holding a shopping bag filled with food and flowers. The scene is bright and welcoming, with greenery visible in the foreground.

High quality home care in Corsham

The reason Helping Hands are considered one of the UK’s foremost home care providers is because we put people first without exception. We’ve been doing this since we were established in 1989, so we understand care and the difference it makes being able to remain in your own home to receive it. We keep you as independent as possible, while supporting your daily tasks such as personal care, housework, medication, and meal preparation.

    24/7 live in care support

Live-in care takes being supported one stage further. Rather than having people coming and going regularly, you have a carer living in your home with you, around the clock. This gives you unparallelled companionship and support whenever you need it and is especially reassuring for loved ones who may live further away. Whether you have mild or complex care needs we ca help you to make the most of everyday, whether that’s inside your home or exploring the local area and community.

Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Corsham

Traditionally, a care agency exists to ‘introduce’ you to a carer, charge a fee, and then leave you to arrange everything else yourself. Helping Hands isn’t a care agency, we’re a private home care company and have been since we began. This means we manage your care from the moment you first contact us, employ all of our carers directly, and own all of our branches across England and Wales. This is important because it gives us consistently high standards of care delivery that we can always maintain.

Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Corsham

We recruit, employ, and train all of our carers in-house, which means we know that our stringent standards for who we take on are always adhered to. We look for caring qualities over experience, although if they have both then it’s even better! We want them to care for others from the heart and not just see it as a job, because that’s how we know they’ll always put our customers’ wellbeing at the centre of everything they do. We reward them well too, with above-average pay rates, access to qualifications, and promotion opportunities when they’re ready.
