Visiting care and home care in Crosby

Crosby is a historic and ancient town, even appearing in the Domesday Book of 1086 where it was recorded as Crosebi. The town was put on the map by the opening of the Liverpool, Crosby and Southport Railway in 1848 when its growth as a suburb of Liverpool was assured. Crosby also became widely famous in the art world when Sir Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ was installed on the beach there in 2005.

No stranger to being widely known in the locality, Helping Hands have been supporting people to live as independently as possible in their own homes since 1989. Already having a wide presence in neighbouring Liverpool, now we are making our presence felt in Crosby and the surrounding area too. We are experts in visiting and live-in care at home and with visits starting from just 30 minutes a week we really can support everyone, regardless of care needs and requirements.

Home care Crosby

Visiting care from Helping Hands means that you will also have the support you need, as often as you need it. Our compassionate carers can come to you from just 30 minutes once a week, or they can call as often as you need, throughout the day and overnight. Working from your personalised support plan, our carers will be able to assist you with personal care, mobility support, medication, meal preparation, housework, laundry and even light gardening. Regardless of your care needs, our visiting carers are dedicated to ensuring you live the best life you can within your own home, or if you enjoy a social life, outside of it too.

Live-in care to support you in Crosby

Live-in care is exactly as it sounds; your carer will reside in your house with you day and night, meaning that you get the same high levels of care but with the benefit of around the clock companionship too. Your carer will be able to undertake all the household tasks that you would like doing, whether dusting, vacuuming, meal preparation or personal care for instance, but will also be there for a long chat over a cup of tea or to sit in the garden with you on a warm day. They  will also accompany you to appointments and activities or take you out for the day, meaning that you get the best of both worlds with a live-in carer.

Better than a care agency in Crosby

Helping Hands is not a home care agency, we’re so much more than that. With us, you get what you may expect from a traditional agency set-up, such as visiting and live-in care managed locally, however what we offer is so much better than that. We directly employ all our carers meaning you don’t have to worry about paying them directly or being charged ‘introductory fees’. Our carers all benefit from the same rights as anyone else employed in this country, so you have the reassurance of knowing that everything such as tax and national insurance is taken care of at company level, and doesn’t fall to you or your loved ones to try and sort out. All you need think about is being looked after by carers who feel valued and are appropriately supported.

Dementia care in Crosby

When living with dementia it can be very unsettling if you are taken from a place you are familiar with and moved to somewhere that feels uncomfortable and alien. Therefore, rather than moving into a residential home, why not have dementia care expertly given in your own home? Our carers are highly trained and experienced in supporting people living with Alzheimer’s, vascular and many other types of dementia, so contact our friendly team in Crosby today to discover how we could be supporting you.

Respite care in Crosby

If you are about to be discharged from hospital or you’re recovering at home from an illness or accident you may benefit from having some respite care temporarily, until you’re back on your feet again. Alternatively, it may be that your regular carer needs to take a break and you require some short-term cover until they return. Regardless of the circumstances, we can provide you with care for as short or as long-term as you need, ensuring that you’re fully supported until you feel able to manage on your own again.

Elderly care in Crosby

As we get older, we all find that some tasks are less easy to accomplish than they used to be. Perhaps you’re struggling to lift the vacuum cleaner or difficulty getting on your knees means you can’t wash your floor; elderly care means that our carers can take the weight off your shoulders completely and undertake all such tasks for you, as well as helping you to mobilise and getting out and about in the community, if you enjoy doing so.

Fully-trained carers in Crosby

Our carers are one of a kind, as they all share our passion for delivering the highest quality care and support in our customers’ homes. They really are the heart of our business so not everyone gets to be a Helping Hands carer; we carefully select people who we know are going to look after our customers with dedication and compassion. We train our carers rigorously when they join us and we offer opportunities for development so that they feel valued and motivated during their career. For your safety we also DBS screen everyone who we take on so that only people who should be entering your home are doing so. Finally, we are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales so you and your loved ones can be confident in us to exceed industry guidelines and deliver only the highest levels of excellent care.
