Visiting care and home care in Mirfield
If you’re looking for quality cloth, go to Mirfield, but if you’re looking for quality home care come to Helping Hands! We have spent decades caring for and supporting people to live as independently as possible in the home they love, and because our visiting and live-in care is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, we’ll always ensure you live your best quality life at home and in the Mirfield community.
Having a literary connection the envy of all Bronte fans, Mirfield was the sight of the boarding school where all three sisters studied. Charlotte even returned to teach there, so happy were her memories of her school years. Unfortunately, life wasn’t as settled for Anne Bronte, as she returned to Mirfield to be a governess, but was very unhappy. However, she used those experiences as the basis for her novel, ‘Agnes Grey’.
Today, Mirfield enjoys the title of the ‘first Fair-Trade town in Kirklees’, and is as much known for it’s agricultural and food events as for its history. It is also part of the Heavy Woollen district of West Yorkshire.
