What does our assisted living support include?

Assisted living provides people requiring additional support with the opportunity to stay in their own homes and have an expert carer either visit them on a regular basis or live in their home with them. At Helping Hands our home care in Plymouth team has got over 30 years of experience in providing specialist home care services to our customers across England and Wales, including dedicated community care. And, for your full peace of mind, we’re independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), so you know every aspect of your support will be of a consistently high standard.

We don’t own care homes or residential nursing homes; instead, we believe that the safety and comfort of your own home is the best place to receive the support you need, as it allows you to maintain your independence and enjoy your preferred lifestyle.

Qualified carers providing assisted living in Plymouth

At Helping Hands, we’re extremely particular about who we recruit to our care teams – which means we only hire carers who share our compassionate, person-centred approach to care. Every single one of our carers has undergone numerous background checks before starting with us, and must pass our rigorous assessment process. Then, once they’ve joined, all new carers enrol on our industry-renowned carer training, which equips them to provide a wide range of specialist care services to people with varying needs.

When to consider this type of support?

Assisted living at home is ideal for anyone who would benefit from a bit of extra support from day to day but wishes to remain the comfortable, familiar surroundings of their own home. We firmly believe that whatever your care needs, home is the best place to receive the assistance you need, because you’ll be able to continue living life on your own terms with a care plan that is flexible around your changing needs. Our Plymouth team can offer community care on both a visiting and live-in basis, with visits starting from as little as 30 minutes per week, so your care will truly be personalised to you.

How much does assisted living cost?

The cost of supported living from Helping Hands will vary depending on your level of need. Our visiting care packages start from £29.00 per hour, whilst live-in care prices start at £1,779 per week for one person and £1,779 per week for a couple. That’s why we’re completely transparent about the upfront costs involved in our industry-leading home care, and will never ever try to push you to sign up for any extra hours or services that you don’t want or need. Your local care manager in Plymouthwill always be on hand to help you make any changes you wish to make to your support at a moment’s notice.
