My name is Katherine,I am the Branch Care Manager at Poynton Branch and I have been working in the care sector since 2015.
I first started working in community care while studying at university, supporting people in their own homes. That early experience helped me realise how rewarding it is to make a positive difference in people’s lives and shaped my passion for working in care.
I went on to complete a BA (Hons)Degree in Health and Social Care from Edge Hill University, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of the health and social care sector and the importance of person centred support.
I strongly believe that people thrive best in their own homes and familiar environments. Being able to remain at home allows individuals to maintain their independence, comfort, and sense of identity. I am passionate about providing compassionate, respectful support and building positive relationships with the people I work with, their families, and my colleagues. I take pride in helping people live as independently as possible while feeling valued, supported, and respected.

I support the Wirral, Chester, Liverpool, Warrington, Nantwich, Macclesfield and Wilmslow branches. I have an extensive background in care and started my career as a carer around 20 years ago. I quickly progressed to a senior carer, a care coordinator, team leader and then registered branch manager. I followed a career in care after looking after my mum who had a brain hemorrhage and a stroke at 43. Care fitted in around my young family and I gained great job satisfaction knowing I had made a difference to somebody's day. As my family grew up, I was able to develop my skills and progress through the company. I joined Helping Hands in 2019 as the Registered Branch Manager at the Wirral branch and moved to my current role in January 2022. I enjoy spending time with my friends, walking the dog and watching my son play football - much to his embarrassment!

Hi, I'm Adam and as Regional Care Director, I'm responsible for making sure that all the customers we help are looked after brilliantly. In order to do this, we need to have the very best carers and support teams there for them so that they can thrive within Helping Hands and do what they do best: care. I think we do everything possible to really understand our customers' needs and then do everything possible to find the right carer for them. Our carers do a wonderful job, and they are special people who are 'hardwired' to care.
High quality home care in Romiley Woodley
Whether you enjoy walking the Peak Forest canal path or you prefer watching events at the Forum Theatre, care at home in Romiley / Woodley will be tailored around your existing needs. You may have a complex health condition or just need a little help with housework, but however you need us, we’ll be there for you, from an hour or two, several visits a day or overnight.
24/7 live in care support
Live-in care isn’t just for people with debilitating health conditions. While it’s true that many of our live-in care customers are living with dementia, Parkinson’s, or another life-limiting condition, we also support people who have age-related frailties and find it difficult to keep house as they used to and take care of themselves the way they’d like to.
Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Romiley Woodley
You might think it doesn’t matter whether a company is a care agency or a private company, but it really does. Helping Hands are proud to be a private home care company with a pedigree spanning decades. We’ve been delivering exceptional care in our customers’ homes since 1989, so it’s no surprise we’re the UK’s most trusted provider. We employ our own carers and are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission, so you know you’re in the best hands.
Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Romiley Woodley
Our carers are very special people, but that’s no coincidence. We always choose very carefully when it comes to people joining Helping Hands because we value not just their experience but their natural kindness and empathy too. In fact, those personal qualities are far more important to us than what they’ve done before. We then build on those practical skills and equip them with all of the knowledge they’ll need to keep you safe and comfortable in the home you love.
