From my first day as a carer with Helping Hands Wigan in February 2022, I knew I was exactly where I was meant to be. I’ve always believed I was meant to care for people from a young age, and that belief guided every shift, every visit, and every small win with the families I supported. As my experience grew, so did my commitment to high standards, compassionate leadership, and empowering colleagues to give their best. In June 2026, I became Branch Manager, carrying forward the same hands-on values that shaped my journey—putting people first, nurturing a strong team culture, and ensuring every client receives dignified, person-centred care.

Hi, I'm Alexandra, but you can call me Alex. I have worked in Macclesfield for five years now, and I spend a lot of social time in Macclesfield too as I play hockey for Macclesfield Ladies. I live in Congleton which means that I am only a short distance from the branch and the customers we provide care for.
As Branch Manager for Macclesfield, my main responsibilities are to ensure that we as a team deliver a safe and exceptional service of care, maintaining happy customers and engaged staff.

Hi, I'm Adam and as Divisional Director, I'm responsible for making sure that all the customers we help are looked after brilliantly. In order to do this, we need to have the very best carers and support teams there for them so that they can thrive within Helping Hands and do what they do best: care. I think we do everything possible to really understand our customers' needs and then do everything possible to find the right carer for them. Our carers do a wonderful job, and they are special people who are 'hardwired' to care.
