What does our assisted living support include?

Since we were founded as a small, family-run care provider in 1989, Helping Hands have been utterly committed to providing compassionate, person-centred home care to people with varying support needs. We’ve proudly supported tens of thousands of families to live independently, confidently and securely in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable and at ease. Our wonderful home care in Uxbridge carers are able to provide a wide range of care services, one of which is assisted living. Assisted living at home offers you the day-to-day practical and physical help you need to continue living as normally as possible, whatever that might look like for you. Our assisted living is independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), providing you with the reassurance that our support will always be of a very high standard.

Qualified carers providing assisted living in Uxbridge

Our Uxbridge team is composed of highly trained carers who are passionate about supporting our customers to live well. We’re extremely particular about who we recruit to our care team, only ever hiring candidates who personify our company-wide values of kindness and empathy. Every carer undergoes rigorous background checks before they start, before enrolling on our prestigious carer training programme which takes place over the course of four days. This initial training is then reinforced by regular refresher courses so that our carers’ knowledge and skillset are kept fresh and relevant.

When to consider assisted living

Assisted living is ideal for those who may require extra assistance with daily tasks or more complex health needs throughout the week. It may be that you opt for scheduled visits from one of our carers three or four times a week to help you with domestic chores, or perhaps you need a more specialised package of support for a complex condition such as a type of dementia or cancer. Assisted living is designed to promote your independence while ensuring your safety and comfort in a home setting. With personalised one-on-one care, you’ll continue to enjoy life in a familiar environment while receiving the right type and level of support.

How much does assisted living cost?

The cost of assisted living from Helping Hands will vary depending on your level of need. Our visiting care packages start from £31.00 per hour, whilst live-in care in Uxbridge prices start at £1,675 per week for one person and £1,675 per week for a couple. Each care visit also incurs a £4.25 fee to cover your carer’s costs.

We know how important it is to you that your care is straightforward to arrange, sustainably affordable, and doesn’t come with any unwanted extras or additional costs. That’s why we’re completely transparent about the upfront costs involved in our industry-leading home care, and will never ever try to push you to sign up for any extra hours or services that you don’t want or need. Your local care manager in Uxbridge will always be on hand to help you make any changes you wish to make to your support at a moment’s notice.
