My elderly immobile Mum had a fairly awful experience with a care agency before we came to Helping Hands. She was reliant on hoisting and competent moving & handling skills but was always nervous. The HH carers were very sensitive to this, and also took great care to learn my Mum's care routine. They were cheerful ladies, chatty with Mum and it wasn't just a job for them. They genuinely did care and went to great lengths to make Mum comfortable and ensure her needs were met, concerning themselves with the finer details. Our dear Mum passed recently and HH carers were there to the end being so lovely. Tia, Natalia, Stefana, Priya, Steffi, Bethany, Gemma and Karthi in the office, and anyone else I've omitted who supported us... Ladies you are very special carers, we could not have coped without you and have special memories of your time with us. It is YOU that the Helping Hands group build their reputation upon, so I hope they give you adequate change of tunics to wear, more pay and invest in you a bit more. We're so grateful for all you did for us. THANK YOU SO MUCH and I'm sorry it took me so long to do this. God bless you.

This was our first experience of needing and asking for care in the home, after my father's illnesses worsened. We found the discussion and setting up process well organised and particularly liked Chantelle, who was so personable and cheerful when she visited our parents' home to find out their needs and help get their care plans arranged. The carers have also been extremely good, punctual, friendly and capable. We are very grateful for this support. I would definitely recommend Helping Hands to anyone else needing care.

I am very impressed with the care Helping Hands are giving my 97 year old Mother for 2 mornings a week. They are very professional and are obviously well trained. She looks forward to their visit and they have matched the carer to my mother's personality perfectly. I would fully recommend them and give a 5 star rating.

Helping Hands were there when we needed them in a hurry and gave calm, professional and caring support at a very difficult time for us after mum had had a recent fall. I have a brilliant carer from Helping Hands once a week who is a companion for my husband with Parkinson’s. The carer takes my husband out and I’m confident that he is being well looked after. I have found the office staff to be very accommodating and helpful too.

i am happy that a consistency of Care has been provided to help out with Mum.This was very important as we were experiencing serious illness in the wider family. The office responds quickly to phone and email questions.

After one year of service by Helping Hands, Watford, I am pleased to applaud Kim, Amy and their team of carers for the professional and person-centered care that they provide for my Mother. Mum's health has experienced growing and serious challenges in these months - Alzheimer's, pneumonia, a heart attack, general frailty - and Helping Hands has stepped up to the mark admirably. I would especially underline the ability of the team in Watford to respond to any reasonable request of family members, who are naturally concerned for a loved one and wish the very best for them. On this point, there has been a notable and marked emphasis by the Watford management and staff in recent months, and for this, we are very grateful. Thank you Helping Hands, Watford! It was very reassuring and comforting that there's someone there willing and able to help. The support on offer is just what we need at this time.

Generally the service has been very good, the carers are very nice and punctual. The only concern I have is that sometimes the carer seems unsure of how to deal with my dad's catheter.

The call was easy to make. A friendly person answered and I was given an appointment for someone to come out and see me this week. Only thing I didn't like was the recorded message.

Little more communication needed as the carer said she did not have care plan for mum's needs. As I had given my mum's needs on assessment I expected that to be given to carer before she started. But v satisfied with care. Thanks. / No worries.
