What does our assisted living support include?
Assisted living support is a great solution if you’re living with physical or mental disabilities and wish to have more independence in your home. Our amazing carers can make your daily life easier to manage, whether that’s in your home or helping you to enjoy your local community. Your circumstances may be that you currently live with family, on your own, or with a partner, but if you’ve got additional needs that require you to need extra support, we can help with assisted living in Whitehaven. We were established in 1989 to help people at home, through visiting and live-in care designed to blend seamlessly with your life. And because our private care services are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, you’ll always be confident in what we deliver.

Qualified carers providing assisted living in Whitehaven
We value our carers so highly because of the amazing care they give to our customers, every single day. They also go above and beyond frequently, helping people to love the life they live and remain comfortably in their own homes. We don’t expect years of experience in the people who join us, as we’re happy to build on their existing skills and help them to gain all the knowledge they need. This is because each of our carers has a bespoke learning programme for them to complete in their first few weeks, plus longer-term courses that keep their skills current and able to be applied to their customers’ own situation. We also have our own inhouse training academy and qualifications available that help carers to progress in the company if they’re keen to move into care management, and we’re proud of how many of our managers began as carers with us.

When to consider assisted living
You may be hoping to move into your own home after living with family for many years, or perhaps you and a partner have enjoyed each other’s company for decades but now you need additional support. Many of our customers are particularly keen not to have to leave the home they love and move into residential support. For emotional and physical support, help in the house or out in the community, assisted living can make all the difference to your life.

How much does assisted living cost?
You may be thinking that care at home is out of reach due to costs, however it may just cost less than you think. And when you consider that you get to remain living in the home you love and not move into an unfamiliar care home, it suddenly becomes even more valuable. Just imagine having beloved people, precious possessions, and adored pets around you all the time, with no visiting limits. You’ll also be able to continue enjoying your garden, watching your flowers and plants alter through the seasons. As a rough idea before you receive your bespoke quote:
Visiting care costs £31.00 per hour, plus a charge per hour to cover transport costs.
Live-in care is particularly good value if you’ve two people at home who need supporting, as the cost for one person starts at £1,675 while for two people it starts at £1,675.
