Situated on the Irish Sea coast in the north-west of England, Blackpool is an iconic seaside town that is renowned for its family-friendly rides at Pleasure Beach as well as its annual light show along the Promenade: Blackpool Illuminations.

Here at Helping Hands, our priority is to ensure that you receive the care that you need, whenever you need it, so that your independence remains untarnished. Whether you fancy an ice-cream along the promenade, a selfie with Ant & Dec at Madame Tussauds or a visit to Blackpool Tower, the team will be on hand to ensure that you receive the care that you need, whether it’s only for an hour at a time or 24-hour support.

Meet the team

Craig Murray

Meet Craig Murray, our Branch Care Manager, Blackpool

My role at Helping Hands is to ensure we have the best care team to provide the best care to each of our customers. To achieve this, we need to ensure we select the right people, provide them with excellent support and provide all the tools required so we can provide the best service possible. I have a varied work history which includes teaching, accounting before I started in care. Care is the role I have enjoyed the most and I am passionate about getting an amazing care team together and make a positive impact in our community and those who need our support. I jumped at the chance to work for Helping Hands as the support they provide to their staff stands out in the care sector. I am excited about what I can achieve with a supportive team behind me. Outside of Helping Hands is mostly time spent as a family with my wife and two boys. I also follow various sports, with my favourite sport being Formula One.

Home care visits in Blackpool to suit you

Being able to provide our customers with effective and consistent support in the comfort of their own home has been at the forefront of our service since we began in 1989. We understand the importance of your independence, so whether you need a ‘helping hand’ for 30 minutes to get dressed and ready for the day or more complex support including overnight stays, our Blackpool team will be there for you whenever and wherever you need them.

From housekeeping, mobility support, medication administration and companionship to more advanced conditions such as cerebral palsy and acquired brain injuries, each of our carers go through award-winning training to ensure that they have the skills, experience and compassion that is required to support you in the best possible way.

We understand that circumstances can change at the last minute and that the need for home-care can arise at any given moment, which is why our team are always available to give you immediate support. The occurrence of an emergency or unexpected accident should never be at a detriment to your care, so you can rely on the team to provide a seamless transition between carers to ensure peace of mind for you and your family.

Whether you need help with getting out of bed, arranging your laundry or even ensuring your dog has been walked and fed, our Blackpool home carers are here to give you the support you need, whenever you need it.

Here at Helping Hands, we believe that nobody should ever feel that they cannot live in their own home anymore, which is why we provide an un-intrusive live-in care service so that you can remain the comfort of your own home.

We understand that familiarity is key, especially for those living with degenerative conditions such as dementia. With live-in care, there are no visiting times and no set meal times, so you can continue to live your life with minimal disruption.

Whether you live as a couple, on your own or with your beloved pets, the team will not only provide you with a personalised care plan that is tailored to your individual requirements, but they will hand-select a carer that is the most suited to your personality, hobbies and interests, too. Whether you want to embrace your inner-dancer in the Tower Ballroom, release your adrenaline junkie on the rollercoasters at Pleasure Beach or enjoy a laugh over the Comedy Carpet, you will not just receive a carer; you’ll gain a friend.
