When to choose live in care

People choose live-in care for many reasons, whether it’s because they’ve been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition, wish to return to their home from a residential facility, or want company in a quiet house after the loss of a partner. We can support you with every aspect of your daily routine, such as housework, meal preparation, medication, mobility, or just offer company and a chat over a cup of tea. Our carers can also support you outside of your home, accompanying you to medical appointments, errands, and activities or to meet with friends and family.

Expert care tailored to your needs

Our live-in care is never delivered on a ‘one size fits all’ basis. Instead, we design you a package of care that is moulded around the way you like to spend your days. Your care package will be accompanied by a support plan that will contain all the information necessary for your carer to know you well, down to the smallest detail. It will be flexible too though, and able to change if your needs do.

Qualified carers providing live in care in Essex

Honestly, after your carer has been living in your home for a short while, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without them. They’ll quickly become a valued friend who will know you and how you like to spend your days, making sure that you get a chance to enjoy some independence again and can remain living in your home for as long as you wish. We support our carers to become the very best they can be, along with gaining the necessary skills to fully support you. Thanks to our in-house training academy, we deliver qualifications and skills development to all of our carers, so that they have the knowledge to support you with all of your requirements.

FAQs

Live-in care means a trained Helping Hands carer lives in your own Wiltshire home and supports you around the clock with daily tasks, personal care, medication and companionship. It is a one-to-one alternative to a care home that lets you stay in familiar surroundings.

It suits people in Wiltshire who need regular or 24-hour support but want to stay at home, including older people, couples who want to stay together, and people living with dementia, limited mobility or a long-term condition.

Your carer supports personal care, washing and dressing, medication, meal preparation, mobility, housekeeping, getting out and about, and companionship. Care is built around your routine rather than a fixed shift pattern.

Live-in care is charged weekly and depends on the level of support you need. Wiltshire live-in care starts from £1,675 per week for one person, or £2,125 per week for a couple. We give a clear written quote after a free care assessment, with no hidden fees.

For one person it is often comparable, and for couples it is frequently better value because two people are supported for close to the cost of one. We will talk you through the figures for your situation in Wiltshire.

Yes. Our Wiltshire live-in care is regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and every carer is trained, vetted and DBS-checked before they start.

Once we have completed your free assessment we can usually arrange care quickly, including urgent and emergency situations. Call our Wiltshire team to talk through timings.
