Live-in care and visiting home care in Wimbledon
Home to the one of the four world-famous Grand Slam tennis tournaments, Wimbledon offers indie boutiques and chic cafés in its charming village alongside a Buddha Temple and a number of picturesque fields. With an abundance of sights and activities on its doorstep, taking advantage of all that Wimbledon has to offer can be difficult if you are in need of a little extra support. That’s why we have a dedicated team of Helping Hands carers in the local area to support you both at home and out in the local community.
Providing person-centred care across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, Balham, Earlsfield and the surrounding areas, Branch Manager Angie and her team are here to give you the support you need, without having to compromise on your safety or independence.
Meet Angie, our Branch Manager
Angie Anslow runs our Wimbledon branch, and is a Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Her role is to arrange home visits and support for families throughout the area, oversee and coordinate each of their support plans and recruit and manage her team of carers.
Angie says: “I’m passionate about providing high-quality care and ensuring our support is tailored to each individual. I have definitely found a company who are as passionate about the care they deliver as I am.”
Home care in Wimbledon tailored to you
Helping Hands was founded in 1989 as a way to provide dedicated and person-centred care that enables families to remain safe and independent at home – and that is exactly what we have been doing for 30 years. As a company that was built on a foundation of family values, we understand how important it is to provide care that makes you feel safe, supported and as independent as possible. That’s why Angie and her team will work with you to provide a bespoke package of care that focuses entirely around you and your needs.
You may be living with your partner and you’d like some help to alleviate the pressures of supporting each other, or perhaps you are living alone and you don’t feel as comfortable navigating the London Underground service as you used to; whatever it is you need, we’re here to help.
Whether you’re looking for 30-minute visits or more regular visits throughout the day, Angie and her team are fully equipped to help with anything ranging from personal care, mobility support and medication administration. And with the support of our Clinical Nurses, we can also provide support for more complex conditions such as tracheostomy care and stroke aftercare.
The carer from Helping Hands was extremely professional, flexible and helpful. She told me she would treat my mum like her own and that’s exactly what she did!

Live-in care to support your independence
We understand the uncertainties that can arise as a result of acknowledging the need for more intensive support, especially if you don’t want to move out of your beloved home and into residential care. If that’s the case, live-in care from Angie and her team is the perfect alternative to give you the round-the-clock support you need without having to leave the home that you have known and loved for so many years.
With live-in care from our Wimbledon team, not only will you receive compassionate, unintrusive and practical support, but we’ll ensure that your mental wellbeing is supported too. We’ll work with you to find a carer that matches your personality, hobbies and interests; so if you like to spend your afternoon with a crossword book or enjoying a game of tennis, your carer will be right there enjoying it with you.
Domiciliary care to support you in Wimbledon
Here at Helping Hands, we understand how important it is for you to feel safe and independent in your own home. That’s why Angie and her team provide personalised domiciliary care packages that allow you to choose the frequency and intensity of your care.
It may be that you need someone to pop in little and often to help you around the house, or perhaps you need someone to help you take your canine companion out for a walk along Wimbledon Common. Whatever it is you need, we’re here to ensure that the right care and arrangements are put in place so that you can live your life entirely on your terms.
Specialist dementia care for you and your loved ones
With more and more people being diagnosed with dementia, the demand for straight-forward access to support and advice has never been higher. And as the UK’s leading dementia care specialists, we know exactly what it takes to provide outstanding care to both the individual and their surrounding families following a dementia diagnosis.
We understand that coming to terms with a dementia diagnosis can be difficult for all involved, and understanding the complexities behind the condition can be confusing in what is already a very distressing time. With patience and understanding, Angie and her team will be there to support you and your family through every step of your journey with dementia. From practical support such as personal care and meal preparation to helping you with communication and learning to manage a challenging situation, our Wimbledon team are here to support you in any way you need them to.
After finding out about Helping Hands and the fact that it’s a family-owned business, I thought it was the perfect place to start my career.

Elderly care to support your independence
When we reach our elderly years, we can often begin to find more difficulty in the day-to-day tasks that once seemed quite easy to us. But just because you’ve reached that time of your life, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to adapt your entire lifestyle and sacrifice your independence to accommodate it. If you’re finding your usual routine a little more difficult than you used to, elderly care from Angie and her team is the perfect solution to keeping you safe and independent in the comfort of your own home – just with a little help along the way.
Respite care for your short-term needs
Care needs can arise and change at any given moment, but we believe that you should never have to forego the quality of your care to accommodate a last-minute change of situation. Whether your usual caregiver needs to tend to an emergency or you have acquired an unexpected illness or injury and need some support in getting back on your feet, Angie and her team will work with you to provide a personalised respite care package to ensure that you have high-quality care in place for as long as you need it – often within 24 hours of your initial enquiry.Request a callback Email us
Award-winning training for our Wimbledon carers
We know exactly what it takes to provide great care – we’ve been doing it for 30 years! But without the commitment of our amazing carers, we wouldn’t have been able to support the thousands of families across the country that we have to remain safe and independent in their own homes. Fully-trained in a number of modules including moving and handling, dementia care, safeguarding, equality and diversity and many more, each and every one of our carers are qualified, experienced and naturally amazing people.
Throughout our stringent recruitment process, each of our carers receive full background checks – such as Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screenings, and they are all directly employed by us – so you don’t need to worry about any additional paperwork.
