What does our assisted living support include?

Assisted living home care in Wokingham might be just what you need for your days to progress seamlessly. By remaining living in the home you love, rather than moving into a residential care home, you can be around the people you wish while enjoying your independence as fully as possible. At Helping Hands, we enjoy supporting people to live their very best lives, regardless of the condition they’re living with. We’ve got strong roots in the caring industry, too; established in 1989 as a family business, we have grown to encompass most of England and Wales with our visiting and live-in care provision, all fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the Care Inspectorate Wales.

Qualified carers providing assisted living in Wokingham

Over the years we’ve supported people living with neurological conditions, cognitive difficulties, lifelong disabilities, age-related frailties, and much more. Because we’ve been in business so many years we doubt there’s anything we don’t have experience caring for. And because we employ all of our own carers – we’re not and have never been an agency – we can manage all of our branches and insist on the same consistency of care across all of our regions. We insist on the very highest standards from the people who work for us, too, only employing those who share our ethos for delivering exceptional standards of care, personalised with compassion and kindness. We build on their existing skills when they join us and help them to gain further knowledge and qualifications as well, all delivered inhouse by our own training academy.

When to consider assisted living

Assisted living care and support exists so that regardless of the condition you’re living with, you can receive support in the place you feel most comfortable and comforted – your home. Whether you’re living with family, on your own, or contemplating a move to somewhere more manageable, we can be by your side to assist with everyday jobs such as personal care, mobility support, and housework. Perhaps you miss having the freedom to enjoy your local community as well? No problem, as our carers will support you to go out and about, whether you love shopping, socialising, or just need help to get to appointments.

How much does assisted living cost?

The costs associated with assisted living vary depending on several factors, such as the amount of care required, the conditions you live with, and where in the country you reside. We’ll devise a personalised quote when we assess your needs, but as a rough idea our care delivery starts at the following prices:

Visiting Care: From £31.00 per hour plus an hourly charge of £4.50 to cover travel costs.

Live-in Care: Starting from £1,675 per week for an individual or £1,675 for a couple, which offers exceptional value compared with two residents in a care home.
