What is respite care?
Respite care exists to cover a carer’s absence, or when someone needs care who wouldn’t normally require it. Taking care of someone else is incredibly rewarding but it can also be physically and emotionally tiring, which is why it’s so important that carers get to take regular time away from their duties.

When to choose respite care
There are many circumstances where respite care can be a good fit for someone but it’s not always desirable to have to uproot and move into a care home, even temporarily. Thankfully that isn’t necessary with Helping Hands’ respite care at home, which we can deliver on either a visiting care or live in care in Worcester.
You rely on your caregiver to make sure you can live your life as independently as possible at home, which is how it should be, however they give their all to you in return, meaning they can very quickly get burnt out and exhausted.
By having a respite carer come in and take care of you, your carer gets to recharge their energy and then return ready to face all of the challenges and enjoyable times you’ll share together.

Respite care services tailored to you
Whether you decide to have respite care on a visiting or live-in basis, you will always receive the highest standards of care at home from our devoted carers who will help you with every aspect of your daily routine. This could include your personal care, medication, mobility, housework, meal preparation and much more.
Your personalised support plan will detail everything that is important to you and how you like things done, meaning your preferences are always kept at the forefront and you are always at the centre of your own care journey.

Qualified respite carers in Worcester
Our carers are amazing, as by their continuous support they enable our clients to live their best possible lives in the homes they love. By supporting our clients at home for more than 30 years, we have become the homecare experts to trust, meaning you and your loved ones can be sure you’ll always have the support you need.
We select our carers so carefully because we only want people working for us who share our passion for delivering the highest standards of care every day, plus we train them carefully to build on their existing skills and develop their knowledge accordingly. We screen them through the DBS and check their backgrounds carefully too, because we want you to know that the people coming to your home are safe to do so.
We’re also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, which guarantees our commitment to delivering consistently high-quality care.
