My first experience as a Carer was many years ago in a lovely residential care home in the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye. This experience stayed with me all these years during which time I brought up my own family. Having recently moved to Malaga, Spain the opportunity arose to become involved in the care sector once again. Having seen an advert in the Spanish press I decided to apply to find out more about the role and call Helping Hands. From here I knew this was something that I wanted to pursue, I had a telephone interview with a member of the Helping Hands Recruitment Team and I was successful! Before I knew it I was packed and flying over to the UK for the Helping Hands training week in Alcester.

Since then, all I have experienced from Helping Hands Staff has been faultless and amazing. I returned to Malaga after the training process and within a week was offered a placement in Yorkshire looking after a lovely lady with dementia. I have found the entire experience to be very rewarding and have not looked back. After completing the first placement I returned home within a few days I was offered a permanent placement near London which I am loving.

The staff at Helping Hands have been ‘like a breath of fresh air’. Every time I have spoken to a Manager or needed to discuss something with a member of the various teams, they have been more than accommodating and have certainly gone the extra mile.
