Visiting care and home care in Eastleigh

Eastleigh is an historic town, having existed since at least 932AD, as well as being mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086. History is something that we’re very fond of at Helping Hands as we celebrated our thirtieth anniversary in 2019 and continue to grow every year! Our presence in Eastleigh means that we can offer an even better service to our customers in the area, through visiting and live-in care.

    Home care Eastleigh

Home care involves our compassionate carers coming to you at prearranged times and providing care for you in your own home. They can offer personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, mobility support, housework and much more. You may want a short visit once a week to give you some companionship over a cup of tea, or you may require several calls a day to ensure you’re taken care of to your requirements, but whichever you need you can be confident that we’ll care for you expertly.

    Live-in care to support you

When one of our carers resides in your home with you, you don’t just get excellent live-in care, you also get around the clock companionship and someone who will quickly become a friend. Live-in care is ideal if you prefer having someone in the house with you at all times, although our discreet carers will definitely not get under your feet. If you want a little quiet time they will continue with tasks in another part of the house and you’ll hardly even know they’re there! With both of our care services you can also be supported to attend activities and appointments outside of the house too.

Better than a care agency in Eastleigh

While traditional home care agencies will often expect you to employ your carer yourself and deal with all the resulting administration, Helping Hands is different. We’re not an agency, we are a fully regulated home care company that employs our carers directly, meaning that you don’t have to think about anything except the great care you’re receiving. Agencies can often demand retainers and agency fees above what you’re already paying, but with Helping Hands, the price you’re quoted is the price you’ll pay, with no hidden fees to unpleasantly surprise you.

    Dementia care in Eastleigh

Living with dementia is not always easy and it’s inevitable that eventually questions will need to be asked regarding care. When the time comes, you need to be sure that you or your loved one are cared for by a company with over 30 years experiences in caring for people living with dementia. Our carers are all trained in how the various types of dementia can affect a person and are highly experienced in dementia care in many cases. Therefore, you can be confident that Helping Hands really are dementia specialists and trust us with your dementia care.

    Respite care to support you

Sometimes care can be needed in a hurry, for instance if your regular carer is taken ill and has to go home to recover, so who can you turn to in an emergency? Even if the cover is expected, respite care is not always relished because it can often mean moving your loved one into a residential home for the short-term which may not be suitable for their needs or preferences. With Helping Hands, you or your loved one can have respite care in your own home for as short or as long-term as you require, meaning that your carer gets the rest they need and you’re both relishing your reunion, knowing you’ve been well-cared for in the interim.

Elderly care when you need a little extra support

As we get older, we can all become a little frailer, meaning that tasks we used to attack with relish become harder and harder to undertake. If you’re finding that age-related frailties are stopping you living you life to the full why not talk to us about elderly care? Our friendly and helpful carers can make a huge difference to your day-to-day life through helping you with tasks such as personal care, laundry and housework. You may want to leave your house and visit people or attend community activities, which your carer will be able to support you with and accompany you to if you’d rather not go alone.

    Fully-trained carers in Eastleigh

Our carers are very special to us at Helping Hands; they are the heart and soul of our company and that’s why we look after them so well. We’re very selective about who becomes one of our carers because they have to share the same vision as us and care passionately about delivering the very highest standards in home care. We train our carers rigorously when they join us and keep their development ongoing so that they are always refreshing their skills, and thanks to our fully Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales regulated service, you can be sure that our standards are some of the highest you’ll find in the industry. Check out our full list of accreditations and we think you’ll agree that we’re the UK’s foremost home care experts.
