It’s been two weeks since your carers began looking after my mum. Wow, what a difference there is. Even my father’s carers have commented on mum’s improvement. I can’t thank you enough.

Bolton live-in care for total peace of mind

Live-in care provides a great alternative to residential care, meaning that your loved one can stay comfortably in their own home. If your needs are higher level or continual, your live-in carer will be there to support you round-the-clock, following a care plan that is entirely bespoke to you.

We will match a carer to you based on your requirements, but also from a personal point of view to ensure you have the best possible relationship with your live-in carer. All of our live-in care plans are fully managed, which means you will have ongoing support from your local manager throughout your entire package.

If you ever have a query or problem, they can be contacted and they will also provide any extra support that your live-in carer could need. We can provide live-in care for as little as three days if you are just looking for some temporary cover, or an ongoing package of care for as long as you need.

Domiciliary care that gives you back control

Also known as care at home, domiciliary care is quickly becoming the care option of choice for many families across Bolton and Manchester because it allows you to be entirely in control of your care.

Designed with you in mind, the Bolton team will work in collaboration with you to find the best solution for your care needs that seamlessly fits into your existing schedule. So, if you need a bit of extra support with your personal care but also like to discuss the latest football scores over a cup of tea, we’ll adhere to all of those requirements and many more.

Personalised care from dementia specialists

Every individual suffering with dementia will have specific needs or ways that they like to do things. For this reason, we tailor every package to suit exactly what you are looking for. All of our carers have been through dementia-specific training, ensuring they have the right skillset to manage any difficulties that the condition might bring.

Maintaining continuity and preventing disruption is an essential part of dementia care, which will help ensure your loved one’s welfare isn’t compromised. We can support your loved one with everything from companionship and reminding them to take their medication through to high level personal care and mental stimulation.

Elderly care so that you're fully supported

Regardless of your age or a condition that you may be living with, our dedicated carers from the Bolton team can provide reassurance, peace of mind and a regular friendly face that will take care of you. Whether you need support getting in and out of bed, applying medical creams or getting to and from the shops – we’re completely flexible with our elderly care service and can swiftly put a package of care into place if you need extra support.

What’s more, we don’t just provide personal care; we can help with the housework, cooking and even accompany you to meet your friends or on a day out to the countryside if you wish.

Respite care for temporary needs

If you are looking for short-term care, we can provide respite live-in and visiting support in Bolton and the surrounding areas that can be put in place in as little as 24 hours’ notice from your initial enquiry.

Respite care is an ideal solution when:

You are going on holiday – If you are going on holiday and would like some support on your trip, or if you are leaving a loved one at home whilst you take a break.
You have had an operation or illness – If you are poorly and need some support for a short time as you recover, a respite carer can help you until you are back to your usual self.
You’ve been discharged from hospital – Getting back in to the swing of things following some time in hospital can be daunting, but a short term care plan can help you during your recovery period.
You have an occasion to attend – Weddings, birthday parties or university graduations could be difficult for you to attend without some support, so we can provide a carer for as little as one day to help you manage your needs without missing out on wonderful events.

The team in Bolton can discuss respite care with you so that you can get the exact care plan that you need.

Trained carers in Bolton to suit your exact needs

Every single one of our carers goes through extensive training to ensure they have the perfect skillset to carry out great care. We don’t operate in the same way as agencies in that all of our carers are employed directly by us, which means we can guarantee continuity of care for you.

Our carers have top-up training at regular intervals and can be trained in specific skills so that your exact needs can be met, no matter how complex they may seem. Each carer is thoroughly vetted and reference-checked before they begin their career with us, ensuring your safety and peace of mind.

All personal care services are provided by our Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered office Helping Hands West Manchester, which is the regulatory body for care across England who make sure that our care standards are as high as they can possibly be.

A new day and another amazing member of our Helping Hands Bolton team.
Today we have Kelly,

Star sign: Aries ♈️
Favorite Colour: Purple
Favourite Colour: Purple 🍰 & I’m a celeb 🕷🐍

Fun Fact: I sang at my own wedding 🎤, not by choice, as a complete surprise to our friends and family & to me!!
What do you do when you aren’t working? I have a very active almost 3-year old that keeps me busy, but I also like to walk and try to run, currently about to start the couch to 5k again. As a family, we like to take out our little boy to different places like zoos, parks and generally spending time together.

What does care mean to me? I haven’t been working in care for very long but I can already see what it means to our customers and their families and the appreciation they show for us being there. The time I spend with customers is precious and getting to know them is amazing. I know I made the right move when I applied to do this job!

Yesterday we introduced everyone to Lee and today we want to you all to meet Paula, another amazing team member for Helping Hands Bolton.

Star sign: Pisces

Favourite Colour: Blue

Favourite TV Show: Countryfile or anything to do with animals and gardening.

What do you do when you aren’t working? I have three gorgeous grandchildren that I love spending time with, in fact, I converted my back bedroom into a playroom for them so I can join in. I love making time for my friends and family but a big passion of mine is gardening, growing my own fruit and vegetables in my garden.

What does care mean to me? Having been in a situation where I was in need of care and support after a big accident I found the experience quite eye-opening, having previously worked within Schools as an English Tutor and exams officer I decided to retrain within the Care sector, I was determined to use my experience of being 'cared for' to ensure that any customer I was privileged to work with had a fantastic experience. I really enjoy my role- I don't call it a job, as it is so fulfilling- I feel part of the family as a whole and both my customer and their family really appreciate everything I do. I love finding little things that make day to day living just that little bit easier-
The Helping Hands team is superb. They are available 24/7 and so committed to every single person. I just feel privileged to be able to do what I do.
