Visiting care for the elderly

As you get older, you may find it a struggle to carry out certain tasks, such as household chores and the weekly shop. With extra support from our helpful and compassionate carers, you can carry on with your routine while maintaining your independence. We understand it’s not always easy to ask for help, however, our carers are here to support you with whatever you need.

We provide visiting care, where our visits start from as little as 30 minutes to several hours a week. Our care packages are bespoke, flexible and are completely tailored to you.

No matter what condition you are living with, we will work around you. Our Canterbury care team is there to support you with cooking, shopping and laundry. If you’d like to visit the Canterbury Cathedral or make a trip to the Canterbury Roman Museum, our carers will be happy to join you. After all, care isn’t just about looking after you physically; it’s about ensuring your mind and spirit are cared for, too.

Elderly care services in Canterbury

At Helping Hands, we have been providing person-centred home care for more than 30 years and are widely recognised as the industry-leading home care service in the UK.

We offer visiting care from 30 minutes a week to several visits a day. Or if you prefer 24-hour care, you can opt for our live-in care in Canterbury package, which will provide you with ongoing support without any restrictions. Without the constraints of set mealtimes, visiting times and routines, you’ll be able to have full control of your care.

It can be daunting having someone new come into your home, but we make sure we handpick a carer that matches your requirements and shares the same interests as you. We will take the time to get to know you and create a care package that works around you and your loved ones.

Fully trained elderly carers in a regulated service

Our dedicated and compassionate carers are the driving force of Helping Hands. That’s why we make sure our carers are fully trained to provide you with the exceptional care you deserve.

All our carers undergo an intensive training course which covers first aid, medical care, safeguarding and manual handling. They also go through a background and Disclosure Barring Service check, so you know you’ll be in safe hands.

We are fully regulated and inspected by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. So for your peace of mind, you know you will be receiving a safe, caring and well-led home care service.
