Dementia Care in Cramlington

I am a passionate and experienced Registered Care Manager for the Cramlington branch, with over 15 years’ experience in the care sector. I am deeply committed to delivering high‑quality domiciliary care that enables people to live independently in their own homes. I strongly believe that community engagement is vital and plays a key role in improving the lives and outcomes of the people we support.
I bring more than three years’ experience as a Registered Manager in Gateshead, where I was responsible for achieving and maintaining an overall “Good” CQC rating under the new inspection framework. Throughout my career, I have worked across domiciliary care, supported living, and complex care, and I am passionate about ensuring people receive the right level of care, tailored to their individual needs and goals.
My journey into care began as a carer after being made redundant from a retail management role. That experience shaped my values and strengthened my commitment to person‑centred care. I have since progressed through a range of roles, including Trainer, Care Coordinator, and Service Development Officer, giving me a strong, well‑rounded understanding of service quality, staff development, and continuous improvement.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. I am a parent of four and a proud grandparent, and caring has always been central to both my personal and professional life. My mum moved in with me just before the COVID period and continues to live with me, further reinforcing my belief in the importance of supporting people to remain at home with the right care in place.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, walking the family dogs, spending time with my family, and reading. These interests help me maintain balance and wellbeing, allowing me to lead with empathy, consistency, and compassion.

As the Regional Care Director, it is my role to lead a hugely skilled care team operating in London, Essex and the South East, ensuring the highest levels of care are being delivered to our customers on a daily basis. We have a large branch network equipped to deal with all your hourly care needs, and I am also the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our live-in program, where we are set up to support you on a more permanent basis.

I am inspired on a daily basis by the true lengths my colleagues go to, to ensure that customers can continue to live long, healthy lives from the comfort of their own homes. This is one of the main reasons that inspired me to join care.

I've worked in healthcare for 16 years, starting as a domiciliary carer in Durham and gaining expertise in clinical and end-of-life care. Joining Helping Hands in 2017, I'm proud to contribute to their premium, innovative homecare service. My background is in physiology, and I've worked in both acute and community settings. Outside of work, I enjoy reading and spending time with my fiancé and two children.
