Visiting care and home care in Daventry

Daventry district boasts picture-postcard villages and award-winning country parks, plus it’s only an hour from London by train making it a popular commuter location. Whether you’re a Daventry Town supporter who enjoys watching from the touchline or you prefer getting active, there is plenty of sport on offer in the area and your carer can help you to enjoy everything that the town has to offer.

We can supply visiting and live-in care services to our customers in Daventry and the West Northamptonshire region, depending on your needs and preferences. You might require support from just 30 minutes a week or have a condition that means you’d prefer around the clock live-in care. Either way, your carer will be able to provide the highest quality care in your home, along with companionship and a welcome, friendly smile.

Home care Daventry

Whether you’d appreciate visiting home care through a 30-minute visit once a week for some help with your housework or you require several visits a day for a more complex condition, we can help.

You may be a little nervous about welcoming a stranger into your home, however we carefully select our Helping Hands carers from compassionate and supportive people in the local area, so that stranger will quickly become a friend. If you require additional support with housework, personal care or any other aspect of your daily life, your carer will be happy to help and will ensure all your routines are respected by following your personalised support plan at all times. You might feel that you’ve been struggling with getting out of bed in the morning; no problem, as our carers can come to you when you like to get up or at your chosen bed-time, to help you with your mobility and more. You might be fine once you’re up, or you may appreciate help with making breakfast or keeping the house tidy. Regardless of your needs, our friendly carers will be there for you.

Live-in care for around the clock support

With live-in care, you get the benefit of a supportive carer being with you all day and night, as well as the superb care that you’d expect from a Helping Hands carer.

If you are unhappy at the thought of going into a care home, having a live-in carer for you or both you and your partner can be a cost-effective alternative. You get totally personalised care of which you are always kept at the centre; whether you want to get up at 6am or midday, it’s always your choice and your carer will ensure your wishes are followed. You get to choose what foods your carer prepares and when you eat, and they will ensure you always have your favourites to hand.

If you have more complex care needs then we can support you fully to remain at home, whether you need more than one live-in carer or require nurse-led care. Regardless of your condition, we can be there for you to support with whatever you need to make your everyday life more fulfilling.

Domiciliary care for extra support at home

Domiciliary care involves being looked after at home, enabling you to choose as and when you want support.

You might appreciate help with housework or taking out the rubbish, or it may be more personal care you require, such as help with showering or going to the toilet. Your carer isn’t just able to help with things inside the house though; they can even do some light gardening for you, while you sit and supervise them with a cup of tea of course! You’re always at the centre of your care journey with Helping Hands and the Daventry team will support you fully with every aspect of your care. Your personalised care package will evolve with you whenever it needs to, so if your requirements change then your care will alter to match.

Dementia care for specialist support

When you’re living with dementia, you and your loved ones need to know that your every need will be supported, and you’ll be safe at all times.

Helping Hands are a dementia specialist company and over the last three decades, we’ve supported thousands of people living with dementia to receive care at home, remaining exactly where they want to be. Dementia can cause confusion and anxiety if someone is required to go to unfamiliar places and be around lots of unknown people, so remaining at home and having a small team of regular carers can support people to live more comfortably and feel more secure in their environment. Dementia care from the Daventry team always puts you firmly at the centre of your care journey, respecting the way you like things done and ensuring that your preferences are always followed. This will ensure you get to live your best life in your beloved home for as long as possible.

Elderly care from our team in Daventry

We could all use a little help as we get older, whether it be with household tasks or more personal care.

With elderly care from Helping Hands, you may not need someone to help you with the more intimate tasks, just the daily housework that has become more difficult to do by yourself. You might appreciate some help with the vacuuming, changing and laundering of your bedclothes or perhaps even a little light gardening. It might be that you manage fine at home, but you’d like someone to accompany you to activities and appointments in the community, or you may enjoy the companionship of your carer’s regular visits.

Respite care for short-term support

If your regular carer has to go home unexpectedly, you’re recovering from a hospital stay, or need some support after an illness, respite care can be a very helpful short-term solution until you’re back on your feet again.

Helping Hands’ Daventry team will be able to supply you with a carer at very short notice, usually within 24 hours, if you suddenly find yourself without care or needing it temporarily. Perhaps your regular carer just needs to take some time away to recharge their batteries, so that they can return to you refreshed and recharged. Whatever the circumstances, talk to our friendly team in Daventry to discover how we could be supporting you or a loved one, whether short or longer-term.

Fully-trained carers in Daventry

Helping Hands have been supporting people to live as independently as possible for over 30 years, so we really are the homecare experts.

Not everyone gets to be a Helping hands carer; we only select the most compassionate and empathetic people to look after our customers and we train them thoroughly to ensure they are prepared for every eventually, with modules in manual handling, medication and much more. They are also fully DBS checked before they begin, to ensure that only people who should be entering your home are doing so. We also offer continuous professional development opportunities so that skills can be regularly refreshed and the benefits of this applied to our customers’ care.

We are fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales to ensure that our commitment to delivering the highest quality care is always evident. We are consistently awarded ‘Good’ ratings for all aspects of our care, so you and your loved ones can be confident that you’re being cared for by the best.
