Visiting care and home care in Wellingborough

Wellingborough was originally an Anglo-Saxon settlement named "Wendelingburgh" although by the time of the Domesday Book in 1086 it had become "Wendelburie". It had grown by the time of King John, who granted it a royal market charter in 1201. While Wellingborough began as a small settlement, it is predicted to have enormous growth by 2031, with resources for housing and improved rail links to encourage more commuters.

Unparalleled growth is something that Helping Hands can identify with, as we have grown in an unprecedented fashion since we were founded in 1989. Our live-in and visiting care services, which start from only 30 minutes per week, ensure that we will be supporting the local area for many years to come.

    Wellingborough live-in care

When you’re considering full-time care you may feel that your only alternative is to move to a residential or care home, but with Helping Hands, having live-in care is a cost-effective alternative which means you can also remain in the home you love. Whether you are living with complex needs that require the support of our clinical nurse team and specialist carers, or you would just like some around the clock companionship, we can support you fully. We’ll undertake your medication, personal care and everything else you need to ensure you’re always living your best life possible.

Better than a care agency in Wellingborough

Our carers are highly motivated to go above and beyond for their customers because we directly employ them and look after their wellbeing. We feel our carers are the heart of our business and consequently we value them, because our carers are the ones who go out into their communities and ensure our customers get to live their best lives at home. If we were an agency we’d be more concerned with charging our customers referral fees and extra costs for matching you with a suitable carer, but because we’re a professional and long-established company, all that comes as standard with Helping Hands.

    Private care in Wellingborough

Helping Hands are a private care provider, rather than a care agency, which means you can confidently expect certain standards from us when it comes to your home care. Being a private care provider means we employ our carers directly and take full responsibility for their income and their wellbeing. Often, care agencies will ask you – the customer – to handle payments to your carer, and will land you with all sorts of hidden fees and unwanted paperwork.

At Helping Hands, we’re all about making your care journey as stress-free as possible, so by making our carers’ wellbeing a priority we allow them to focus their time and energy on providing you with the very best care possible. All of our carers are fully trained to provide you with flexible, bespoke home care that meets whatever needs you might have, and from meal choices to bedtimes, your care plan will always be personalised to your preferences.

    Domiciliary care to help you

With domiciliary care from Helping Hands, you’re always in control of your care and your life, thanks to our individualised care packages and your personalised support plan. Domiciliary care simply means care you receive in your own home, and our dedicated and professional carers go above and beyond for all of their customers to ensure they get to live their best life possible, in the home they love. You’re always in control of the care you receive, so if you’d benefit from some support at home with personal care, medication, housework or so much more, talk to us today.

    Tailored dementia care

Whilst you may not need care straight away after a diagnosis of dementia, it’s natural that thoughts will turn to who is going to care for you in the long-term as your condition progresses. We’re a dementia specialist company because at Helping Hands we have been caring for our customers living with dementia for over 30 years. Remaining at home in the place you love most can be highly beneficial as your condition progresses as the familiar surroundings can help to reduce your confusion and anxiety, so talk to us today about dementia care.

    Short term respite support

If you or your family are trying to find emergency care due to you having an unexpected hospital discharge or needing care at home after an accident, we can have one of our carers supporting you within 24 hours. If your needs aren’t quite that urgent but your family are planning a holiday, or your regular carer needs a break, we can ensure that all goes smoothly via our respite care service. Our carers come to you in your own home as often or as little as you need, and they’ll ensure that every aspect of your care runs smoothly, as if your regular carer had never left.

    Supportive elderly care

Our flexible packages of elderly care can really help to support you at home if you’re struggling with daily tasks. As we get older, certain things can become more difficult, such as housework, personal care or making ourselves meals, and we often won’t talk to family about it as we’re worried that they’re already too busy. Our professional and empathetic carers go above and beyond to support you at home and ensure that you get to live your best life possible, so don’t struggle on at home, talk to us today about elderly care.
