Helping Hands has been providing exceptional care to our customers across England and Wales since we were established in 1989. We’re proud of the difference we’ve made in North Yorkshire and now we’re exploring the local area further, which brings us to Follifoot.

We’ll deliver our visiting and live-in care in the area to people who want to remain living in their own homes, rather than having leave the place that means everything to them and move into residential care.

Our high-quality home care can be delivered as often or as little as you need it. Some of our customers have an hour or two a week to give family a break, while others have us several times a day or around the clock. Our local carers are dedicated to providing you with the help you need to maintain your independence. All our support is fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) to give you and your loved ones total peace of mind.

Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Follifoot

We’ve never been a care agency, and we’re proud of that. The reason we are so emphatic about it is that care agencies traditionally do not offer the same high standards of care that Helping Hands does. They do not employ their own carers directly, instead offering only an ‘introductory’ service that customers then have to manage themselves. They also tend to run franchises, which can have an effect on the consistency of care offered. We manage all our care ourselves, own and run all of our 155 ourselves and employ our carers directly.

This doesn’t happen by accident, though as we carefully screen our applicants to ensure that only the very best people get through the process. We also build on their existing skills to equip them with the knowledge they’ll need to confidently care for people in their own homes. We do all of our recruitment and training in-house, which means we can make sure it is always serving our needs effectively and can modify it immediately if needs be.
