Home care in Harrogate
Visiting care and home care in Harrogate
Harrogate is a spa town in Yorkshire, nestled in attractive surroundings and near to the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Famous for its waters that saw Georgian visitors flock to the area for their supposed health-giving properties, Harrogate became established and still retains much of its historic charm today.
Establishing ourselves in a place with such a long and varied history is important to us at Helping Hands, as we have a history that we’re proud of too. Founded in 1989 and with the same family-led values today, our visiting and live-in care services will see you supported in the home you love, from just 30 minutes per week.

Branch Care Manager
My role at Helping Hands is to manage a team of both office staff and carers out in the community to deliver an outstanding quality of care to our customers. My responsibilities within my role are to make sure we are delivering a safe and effective service and that we are responsive in our day to day activities. I decided to join the care industry after my grandad passed away in 2017. I had hands-on experience of what care was about and it inspired me to give something back and make my family proud. I decided to join Helping Hands as a carer which I thoroughly enjoyed, which then led me to progress into different roles within the company. I feel very passionate about what we do at Helping Hands and I have a fantastic team of both office staff and carers that have the same passion for the job as I do. I am very family orientated and in my spare time I love to spend time with my nearest and dearest, socialising, going out for food, and holidays abroad.

Home care Harrogate

Our live-in care is second to none when it comes to supporting our customers around the clock in the home they love. Whether you need support with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, housework, laundry or a myriad other things, our amazing carers can help. If the thought of going into a care home doesn’t appeal to you, live-in care is a cost-effective alternative that sees you supported day and night, meaning reassurance for you if you prefer to have companionship at all times, and reassurance for your loved ones that you’re never alone at home.

Better than a care agency in Harrogate
-
Helping Hands is not and has never been a home care agency; we are a private company with over 30 years’ experience of caring for our customers in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. We directly employ all of our carers so that their motivation is high, and their focus can be on the most important aspect of their role – your care. You’ll find no hidden costs or referral fees on your bill either, just a straightforward, transparent breakdown of what you were expecting.

Emergency care in Harrogate
-
Needing care in an emergency doesn’t mean your only option is to go into temporary respite care or some other form of residential support, you can remain in your own home and still receive all the care you need, from dedicated, well-trained carers. Our carers come to you, as often or infrequently as you need them, meaning that regardless of why you need care, we can have someone with you in your home within 24 hours.

Private Care in Harrogate
-
With private care from Helping Hands, you call the shots – you eat your meals when you want, get up and go to bed to suit your routine and set the pace for the way you live your life. Unfortunately, this isn’t usually the case when you move into residential accommodation because they will struggle to give you one-to-one care, which is exactly what you get from your fully managed care package with us, whether you choose visiting or live-in care.

Overnight care in Harrogate
-
When you struggle to rest throughout the night it can be a lonely and isolating time, knowing that everyone else is asleep and you are the only one awake in your home. You may also worry that loved ones are missing out on vital rest if you need them in the night and consequently hold back on asking for help. However, if you have overnight care from Helping Hands you will have a dedicated carer with you throughout the twilight hours who will support you with every aspect of your routine, meaning daytime carers get all the rest they require while you have all the support you need.

Fully trained carers in Harrogate
-
Our carers mean the world to us and we believe they’re the best in the industry, as they look after our customers so well and regularly go above and beyond for them on a daily basis. We carefully select people to work for us from the many applicants we get, because we believe care isn’t just something you do, it’s something you feel. We only select people who share our ethos for delivering the highest standards of care, then we train them well so that we can be sure the high standards we insist upon are consistently achieved. We’re fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales too, meaning you can have full confidence in all the care we provide.
