Home care in Highcliffe
Visiting care and home care in Highcliffe
Highcliffe’s enviable position on the south coast gives it access to a milder climate and less rainfall than much of England, and consequently in the late Victorian and Edwardian era it was a popular health and leisure resort.
At Helping Hands we do anything within our ability to ensure our customers live their best and most enjoyable lives possible while in our care and thanks to our visiting and live-in services, we will promote your independence and ensure you remain at the centre of your care journey always.

Meet the Highcliffe care team
Area Care Manager
Hello, my name is Sally, I am the Area Care Manager for the South West. I lead and support a fantastic team of branches and carers in and around Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey, Berkshire, & West Sussex. I joined the care industry to help make a positive difference to those people that use our services and support my team to do the same. I am proud of the service we offer and of my team that deliver it. The key part of my role I enjoy the most is developing and supporting my team to be the best they can be and in turn, they can deliver the best possible service to our customers.

Better than a care agency in Highcliffe
-
Home care agencies traditionally expect to make money from their customers for ‘introducing’ or ‘matching’ them with a care, however at Helping Hands that’s all part of the fully managed service. We consider it our duty to find the most suitable carer we can for you and you’ll really notice the difference between our private home care company and agencies nearby.
-
Domiciliary care from supportive carers
-
When you choose care at home, better known as domiciliary care, you’ll be able to have your care exactly as you prefer, thanks to our dedicated carers who will follow your personalised support plan exactly. Having care at home means you won’t be tied to set times for your meals, getting up and activities the way you are in a care home, you’ll always say what you want and when, giving you flexibility in the way you get to live at home.

Familiar and comfortable dementia care
-
Being diagnosed with dementia can be life-changing and it can be hard to face what the future might bring, however it’s important to have conversations with loved ones about topics such as eventual care, so that they know your wishes in good time. Remaining in your own home for dementia care can be beneficial because you stay in familiar surroundings, with precious people and memories around you, which can help to reduce anxiety and confusion.
-
Immediate start respite care
-
Respite care sees you needing short-term support while you recover from an illness or accident, give your carer a well-earned break or your loved ones are going away, but regardless of the reason, it is beneficial to remain in your own home for care. This is because your familiar surroundings will be an aide to your recovery, as will remaining with loved ones, precious pets and the place you love being in the best. We can even get care to you within 24 hours when circumstances require it.
-
Elderly care for dedicated support
-
As we get older, we can sometimes find that we struggle more with certain tasks, due to us becoming less strong or because of an ongoing condition. Elderly care from Helping Hands can see you have support from our dedicated carers with a number of household tasks, such as preparing nutritious meals, personal care due to getting in or out of the bath, laundry, housework, changing beds, medication and so much more.
-
Fully trained carers in Highcliffe
-
We love our carers and what they do for our customers every single day of the year, ensuring they get to remain in the homes they love, even with the most complex conditions. We train our carers well when they join us, but we also ensure they are naturally caring and compassionate, as no amount of training would be able to teach such instinctive qualities. We are also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales, which demonstrates that our care standards are always high and will continue to be so.
