Paignton was a small fishing and farming village until the 19th century, when in 1837 a new harbour was constructed. The modern spelling, Paignton, first appeared around the same time, after being previously written Peynton, Payngton and Paington, and in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Peintone.
With a rich history all of our own, Helping Hands also respect and appreciate the heritage of the locations we establish ourselves in and with our visiting and live-in care services we can cater for anyone who needs our support.
