We can support you in and around Paignton, Hollicombe, Preston, Shorton, Roundham, St Michaels, Collaton St Mary, Blagdon, Goodrington, and the surrounding areas.
Paignton was a small fishing and farming village until the 19th century, when in 1837 a new harbour was constructed. The modern spelling, Paignton, first appeared around the same time, after being previously written Peynton, Payngton and Paington, and in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Peintone.
With a rich history all of our own, Helping Hands also respect and appreciate the heritage of the locations we establish ourselves in and with our visiting and live-in care services we can cater for anyone who needs our support.
“Hello, I’m Karen. I am the Branch Manager for Torquay where I ensure that each of our customers receive a high standard of service and that our carers feel empowered and informed to fulfil their role.
“My career in care started when I was 16 years old and volunteered at a local residential home where I would play Scrabble with a gentleman who was living with progressive multiple sclerosis. From that point forwards, I knew that I wanted to continue my career in the care industry, and I wanted to make a positive difference to people’s lives.”
