When setting up care for yourself or a loved one, the worry of cost always crosses your mind. How much will it cost? Will I be able to afford it? Is there any funding available to support me? Whatever your question, our friendly Redditch home care team will be on hand to help.
At Helping Hands, we have been providing care at home since 1989 and have always been upfront about our costs. There are no hidden or referral fees, so you’ll know exactly what you are paying for. We always make sure we provide you with a service and are considerate about our cost as we want to make sure you are getting better value for your money.
At Helping Hands, we believe transparency is the way forward – what you see is what you get. All our care plans are bespoke and tailored to your requirements. You’ll have full control over your care plan and our carers will support you, so you can continue to live an independent and content lifestyle. At Helping Hands, we provide care on a visiting or live-in basis.
Visiting care costs
If you need care little and often, then visiting care may be the best option for you. Our wonderful carers can help you with personal care, take you to your favourite café for a cuppa, accompany you to your appointments and much more.
Live-in care costs
With live-in care, one of our dedicated carers will stay with you at home, throughout the day and night, so you can live comfortably and independently at home. We understand it may be daunting having someone new come into your home, but we will make sure we partner you with someone compassionate, kind and who also shares the same interests as you. All our carers also go through a strict background check, so you know you’ll be safe in your own home. Prices for live-in care start from £1,460 per week for a single person and £1,700 per week for a couple.
Depending on your personal circumstances, you may be entitled to additional funding from your local authority or the NHS. You can request a Financial Assessment from your local authority to see if you qualify for any funding. If you are still unsure, you can visit our FAQs page on costs and funding or talk to a member of staff at our Redditch branch.
Most of our customers pay for care privately, but it is best to research to see whether you are entitled to any benefits that can help towards the cost of your care. If you are 65 and over, you’ll be entitled to Attendance Allowance and Pension Credit. You may also be eligible for council tax reduction or heating benefits. If you would like more information, please talk to one of our customer care advisors. We will be more than happy to point you in the right direction.
