Visiting care and home care in Ringwood

Ringwood was founded by the Anglo-Saxons and is located in Hampshire. It is famous for its weekly market and has been a popular event with the local residents since the Middle Ages, especially our customers.

Plus, we are monitored and regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales. So, you can rest assured knowing you’ll receive the very best care you truly deserve.

Thanks to our carers, residents of Ringwood can explore the community and enjoy what the bustling town has to offer. From restaurants and market stalls to independent shops and local beauty salons where you can pamper yourself, there is plenty to do. But that’s not all; our carers can help you get dressed in the morning, prepare nutritious meals, fold the laundry, change the bedding and much more. More importantly, they make the best companions.

Our expertly trained carers deliver care on a visiting and live-in basis. So, you can have support from as little as 30 minutes a week or longer, no matter what condition you are living with. If you need support for more than a few hours a day, then live-in care can be an option. This is when one of our compassionate carers stays with you 24 hours a day in your home. So, no matter what time of the day, you will always have someone by your side. Plus, you don't have to relocate elsewhere, with live-in care you can remain in the place you love - home.

Why Helping Hands is better than a care agency in Ringwood

We have always delivered care as a private home care provider, not as a care agency. So, there is no surprise that we are the UK’s most widely trusted home care provider. We ensure we employ our carers directly and they are fully trained by us. So they have the right skills to provide you with outstanding care, nothing less. We also believe in transparency, which is why we are always upfront with our costs and services.

Qualified carers providing a variety of care services in Ringwood

Our carers are kind, compassionate and empathetic individuals who always prioritise your needs. They really do make a difference, and thanks to them, our customers can enjoy and live life as they wish.

We ensure our carers have the skills to provide you with the care you need. They must complete our nurse-led training programme, which includes first-aid, mobility and safeguarding training.

They all undergo a strict background check, including a Disclosure Barring Service check. We employ carers that we can trust. So you don’t have to worry about who is coming into your home.

FAQs

Have you been struggling to keep up with the housework recently? Perhaps you’ve had a recent fall and are nervous about being by yourself at home? That’s where home care in Ferndown comes in. Putting you at the very centre, the team will create a package of home care that fits entirely around you and your care needs, whatever they may be.

Covering a multitude of different conditions such as multiple sclerosis, dementia, acquired brain injuries and mental health conditions, we can be on hand throughout the week to pop in and make sure you’re okay. Whether it’s help with personal care or getting in and out of bed, or perhaps you just need a bit of support with getting down to your local supermarket or taking your dog out for his daily walk – we’ll be there for you.

Whether you’re in your eighties and require regularly daily calls to support you with your mobility, or you’re in your twenties and need assistance to get out and about to stay connected with your friends – domiciliary care enables you to retain your independence without having to forego your chosen lifestyle.

Domiciliary care – also known as visiting care – puts you in control of your care. With visits starting from as little as 30 minutes per week all the way up to several daily calls, including waking night calls, we’ll work with you to find a carer and care package that suits you.

The term ‘dementia’ covers over 100 different types of conditions that affect individuals in a variety of ways. Whether it’s vascular dementia, Pick’s disease or Alzheimer’s, we’ll get to know both you and your family to find out what type of care you need and how we can support all of you.

As dementia specialists, we know how important it is to consider the person underneath the dementia and not just the condition itself. That’s why all of our carers are trained to recognise, understand and support those living with the condition to ensure they live their life in the way that they desire.

Just because you’ve reached a certain age, it doesn’t mean that you have to surrender your independence, hobbies and home. With elderly care from Sam’s team, you can retain your chosen lifestyle but with a bit of extra assistance as and when you require.

If you’re a regular on the golf green but struggle to get there and back, we’ll ensure you get their safely. Or if you’re a love a good laugh at a comedy night but struggle to sit still for longer than an hour at a time, we’ll put arrangements in place so that you can still attend.

Caring for a loved one can often be much more than just looking after a loved one’s care needs on a daily basis. Although caring for others is extremely rewarding, it’s important to make sure you take a well-earned break to enable you to take a step back, have a rest and provide the very best care that you’re able to. That’s where respite care can be vital for both you and your loved one.

We’ll swiftly step in and arrange care, usually within the same day as your initial enquiry. Where possible, we’ll meet with both of you to ensure that we get everything spot on – including what time you like to get up in the morning to how much milk you take in your tea.

We can even support you if you decide to take a trip away or have an important family function to attend but are unable to do so alone. The great thing about respite care from Helping Hands is that it allows you to still do the things you want to, regardless of your condition.

Helping Hands are proud to be fully-regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which ensures we are providing a safe, effective and responsive service. As well as being a founding member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), we are also part of Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) who are committed to transforming the lives of those living with dementia.

We couldn’t be an industry leader in home care if it wasn’t for our thousands of carers that go above and beyond every single day for our customers. And it’s for this reason that we value them so highly and ensure they have only the very best training to equip them in the field.

Recognised as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care, our in-house training programme covers first aid, moving and lifting, safeguarding, health and safety, medication and dementia. All of our carers, including the Ferndown team, follow this programme and are also subjected to a stringent selection process, including screenings from the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS).
