Swansea Live-in Care available in 24 hours

At Helping Hands, we understand that care needs don’t always come with a warning. Sometimes it happens gradually, other times it’s a sudden change that leaves you needing support quickly. That’s why we’ll always aim to get your live-in care arranged without delay. In urgent cases, and where availability allows, we may even be able to start within 24 hours. We know how important it is to act fast when someone you love needs help.

Our Swansea branch is regulated by the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW), which means that our care, safety and processes are all closely monitored by the governing body for care in Wales, giving you peace of mind that you’re being looked after by a regulated care provider.

How can our Live-in Carers in Swansea help you?

A live-in carer moves into your home and becomes a steady, reassuring presence in your day-to-day life. They’re there to help with everything from getting ready in the morning to settling down at night. Whether that’s preparing meals, assisting with bathing, organising prescriptions, helping with mobility or simply sitting down for a chat, they’ll support you in a way that feels natural and respectful.

Staying at home means keeping your routines, your neighbours, your favourite chair and your sense of independence. With a carer alongside you, you can carry on living life your way, just with a bit of extra support when you need it.

Why you may need Live-in Care

Live-in care can be a real lifeline in lots of situations. You might be living with a long-term condition that’s become harder to manage alone. Perhaps you’ve had a fall and want reassurance that someone’s there overnight. Or maybe family members can’t always be around and you’d feel more comfortable with consistent support.

Many people also find that having someone around eases feelings of isolation. We take care to match you with someone who shares your interests and outlook, so your carer feels like a companion as well as a helping hand.

Carers for limited hour visits

Not everyone needs round-the-clock input. If you’d prefer your carer to focus on certain parts of the day, that’s absolutely fine. We can tailor the arrangement so they’re there mainly during waking hours, or perhaps overnight if that’s when you feel most vulnerable. It’s flexible and shaped around what suits you best.

Intermittent long-term visits

If your needs change at different times, we can organise live-in care on a stop-start basis. You might only require support during recovery periods or when your usual support network is unavailable. We’ll aim to keep things consistent by arranging for the same familiar carer whenever possible. That way you won’t have to keep explaining your routines or preferences.

Carers for immediate situations

When care is needed urgently, we’ll move quickly. Our team will gather the information we need, talk through your situation and arrange a suitable carer as soon as we can. While 72 hours is typical, sometimes we can be even faster. The priority is making sure the care feels right as well as prompt.

Expert Carers

With over three decades of experience, we’ve helped families across the country navigate care with confidence. Since 1989, our focus has been on dignity, comfort and independence.

We invest lots of time and care into our care workers, making sure we only select the very best candidates for the job. Once recruited, they are put through their paces in our assessment centres where they learn the skills necessary to meet our high standards of care. We also complete thorough background checks on our care workers, with several character references and a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening.
