Respite care can provide you with a well-deserved break from your care-giving duties, whilst knowing that your loved one is getting complete continuation of care. This is because the level of care is completely tailored to your loved one and will be supported by a personalised support plan that contains all your routines and preferences for care. Helping Hands have been supporting people to stay independently at home for over 30 years, and our friendly home care in York will happily answer any questions you may have about care.

Perhaps you are the person who is looking for temporary care? Our carers are professional and compassionate and will be able to come to you on a visiting care basis; from a short 30-minute visit once a week, to several visits a day. Alternatively, one of our dedicated carers can live in your home with you, giving you around the clock, live in care in York and companionship, which can be preferable when you prefer not to be in your home on your own.

Respite support can be a useful, short-term form of care if you need extra help temporarily. This could be if:
