At Helping Hands, we believe that everyone should be able to have quality care from within the comfort of their own home. As a result, our network of hourly care branches has now grown to over 70 across England & Wales! On February 16 2017, we celebrated the opening of a new branch in providing home care in Wolverhampton.

Members of the local community, including local councillors and the Reverend of the Perton Church, attended the grand opening, which saw our CEO Tim Lee welcome Wolverhampton into the Helping Hands family. The branch will be managed by Joanne Briscoe and some of her new team of carers were also there to meet the people they potentially could be caring for in the future.

“It was such a lovely welcome; everyone had a wonderful day!” Joanne says. “We at the Wolverhampton branch of Helping Hands are fully committed to supporting our local community and we are really excited about what the future holds for us. It meant a lot to have our carers and our CEO there along with members of the local community; the whole day showed what Helping Hands is all about!”The local Perton District Parish Councillor also added: “I am glad Helping Hands are here fulfilling a need within the community. I look forward to seeing them building relationships and growing within the community.”

Even as the Wolverhampton team were celebrating their opening, they were still helping people who came into their branch including an individual who was looking to learn more about the home care services the team would be providing. Not only that, two more people were looking to join Joanne’s team of passionate and enthusiastic carers!

The Wolverhampton branch opening marks another milestone in Helping Hands’ 28-year history. With several more branches in the pipeline, and with two new branches now open in Wales, we are all really excited for what the future holds. Of course, with new branches coming up soon, we are always looking out for new carers, why not visit our recruitment page to find out about being a carer with us.

Like all of our branches, our Wolverhampton team are all incredibly passionate about what they do. They are eager to build close connections with the people that they support, helping them to lead independent lives within the place they feel most comfortable and safe.
