If you’re looking for a new role in life that will give you immense job satisfaction, the chance to make a difference to other people’s lives and above average rates of pay, why not consider becoming a care assistant in Stroud?
By joining Helping Hands in either a visiting care or live in care, you will have the reassurance of being employed by a private home care company with a long and impressive history, as we’ve been supporting people in their own homes since 1989.
By becoming a Helping Hands carer, you get to support people in the home they love who need extra help to live their best quality of life, while giving yourself the opportunity to forge a career with a growing company. We now have an extensive branch network, covering the whole of England and Wales, meaning that we can offer opportunities across the whole Stroud area and beyond.
We’re always looking for people to join us who possess natural qualities of kindness and compassion, and as a visiting carer you can work the hours that suit you, to fit around your existing commitments. You can expect to support our customers with a wide range of different tasks, such as personal care, mobility support, medication, meal preparation, housework and laundry, as well as supporting your customer to access their local community.
Our carers also enjoy benefits that include:
Our carers are amazing and make such a difference to the lives of their customers, so if you feel this is a role that would suit you, talk to us today about becoming a visiting carer.
If you would like the opportunity to really get to know your customer and be with the same person for an extended period of time, then live-in care may be just the role you’ve been looking for. Residing in your customer’s home means you are with them around the clock, offering care and companionship as they require it, but never making them feel as if their home is no longer their own. Being able to really get to understand your customer’s condition, care needs and preferences will give you a real understanding of how they like to be cared for, and along with their personalised support plan, you’ll use this knowledge to ensure your customer lives their best life possible.
As a live-in carer you’ll also have the opportunity to save money for the future, as you won’t pay for your accommodation or meals while in placement, and with a salary of up to £33,800 per year, this is a real advantage. You’ll also receive other benefits such as up to 28 days paid holiday and ongoing 24-hour support from your manager. You’ll support your customer with every aspect of their daily routine, from personal care to medication, and mobility support to meal preparation. You may also be required to do some light housework and support your customer outside of their home, to access and enjoy their local community.
