On Wednesday the 1st of February, we were delighted to open our first ever hourly home care branch in Wales.
The new branch in Beulah Road, Cardiff held a grand opening reception, which was attended by many of our existing customers and carers. Chief Executive Tim Lee was also in attendance, who welcomed and thanked everyone for attending the event. It was an especially proud day for our CEO Tim, who attended Cardiff University Business School back in the 1980s.
Deputy Local Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor Georgina Phillips and her Consort were also at the opening ceremony to cut the ribbon and to officially declare the branch open.
Tim proudly stated: “We are continually expanding our network of branches and it was a pleasure to welcome everyone to our new branch in Cardiff. It was also a real delight to see some of our existing customers and carers – they are after all what makes Helping Hands so special. It also was an especially proud day for me personally, as I lived in Cardiff for 4 years in the 80s & early 90s, having attended the Business School there for 3 years and staying onto work for a year thereafter. It was also the city where I met my future wife, who has also come along with me today to the opening. To be able to bring the family business back to a place that has so many good memories for me has been especially pertinent.”
Family-run we have been providing support through live-in and hourly care services for customers across England and Wales since 1989. The new Cardiff branch offers fully-trained care specialists, providing care support to people of all ages through hourly visiting care, which includes companionship, cooking and cleaning, and personal care, as well as condition-led care support, clinical, palliative and respite and emergency care.
