Regional Care Director
As the Regional Care Director for the north, I am responsible for all types of care delivery to our customers - whether it be live-in care or our hourly service. My role involves ensuring that our carers deliver a consistent and seamless high quality of care to our customers. I manage a team of dedicated, hardworking people who strive to deliver a fantastic service. Following a highly successful career in welfare to work, recruitment and training, I wanted to look at a fresh challenge, and following some research and numerous conversations, I believed that the care sector would be a good fit and that I could easily transfer my skills and experience into this role.

Tailored Home care in Beverley
Visiting care could be the perfect solution for you if you’ve found that you’ve been struggling to keep up with the housework due to being unsteady on your feet, or if you’ve recently been diagnosed with a condition that requires you to have extra support with your personal care. Our expertly trained carers will offer care that adheres to your needs but upholds your dignity.
Led by you, we’ll aim to put everything in place that allows you to live your life the way you want to, without the need of going into residential care.
And we don’t just support the elderly – Helping Hands support many young adults living with a variety of conditions such as cerebral palsy, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries. For many, care isn’t just about the practical support that we offer, it’s about the companionship too. So, whether you want to keep in touch with your friends but need assistance to get out and about, we can help.
Live-in care that caters for all of your needs
At Helping Hands, we want to enable as many people as possible to remain in their own homes without having to compromise on their care needs. With live-in care in Beverley, even the most complex needs can be catered for, as your carer will live with you in your home and be on hand when you need them.
With the assistance of an experienced clinical nurse team, our live-in carers are able to support with catheters and stomas, tracheostomies and PEG feeding all whilst you remain in the comfort of your own home.
It can be quite a daunting prospect to have someone live with you that you don’t know, but our team will work closely with you to select the right carer for you. So, if you enjoy following the horse racing at Beverly Racecourse or visiting the medieval market in the town centre, we’ll find someone that is not only equipped to handle your care needs, but who suits your personality and interests too.
Award-winning training for live-in care services
Caring for others is a very special job and something that you can’t simply ‘teach’ to others. The ability to look after others is something that is innately in our carers, and we’ll only select those that possess that quality. As well as going through our stringent recruitment process, all of our carers are fully checked by the Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and are required to provide a variety of character references.
Both our live-in and visiting carers receive detailed training either at one of our bespoke training centres or within their local branch, which covers first aid, moving and handling, personal care and safeguarding. We are also extremely proud to be recognised as a Centre of Excellence for our training programme by Skills for Care.
As with all care companies, Helping Hands adhere to strict guidelines set by the Quality Care Commission (CQC) to make sure our care, training and recruitment is safe, effective and responsive. We are also affiliated with Dementia Action Alliance (DAA) and Spinal Injury Association (SIA), of which both promote the safety and wellbeing of all individuals living with their respective conditions.
Domiciliary care designed with you in mind
Domiciliary care means that you get to make the decisions about your care, without having to adhere to the strict routines that may come with moving to a residential home. Just because you may be less mobile, it doesn’t mean that choices should be made for you. The team will respect your wishes and routines in conjunction with providing the very highest level of care.
Providing everything from support with personal care and mobility to cleaning, cooking and companionship, we’ll do everything we can to make sure all aspects of your home life are taken care of.
