Qualified carers providing assisted living in Cambridge

With over 35 years’ experience in providing dedicated, person-centred home care to customers up and down the nation, we know how important it is to have carers who are genuinely passionate about their roles and who possess a naturally kind and compassionate personality. All of our carers undergo a rigorous recruitment and vetting process, which results in only 2% of applicants to our care teams being successful. When they start with us, every new carer enrols on our four-day training programme, which is then regularly supplemented by refresher courses.

When to consider assisted living

We offer a number of different services to ensure you get to live life exactly the way you wish to, with your support tailored around your own personal routines. Unlike in a residential care home or nursing home, staying at home allows you to have a care plan that is designed specifically with your needs and wishes in mind. Your local care manager in Cambridge will visit you at home for an initial assessment of your needs, so that they can put together a care plan that ensures you’re never left feeling isolated or unsupported. From there, we can make any changes to your support that you may require as your needs evolve, so that you’ve always got the right type and level of care.

How much does assisted living cost?

The cost of assisted living from Helping Hands will vary depending on your level of need. Our visiting care packages start from £31.00 per hour, whilst live-in care in Cambridge prices start at £1,675 per week for one person and £1,675 per week for a couple. Each care visit also incurs a £4.25 fee to cover your carer’s costs.

We know how important it is to you that your care is straightforward to arrange, sustainably affordable, and doesn’t come with any unwanted extras or additional costs. That’s why we’re completely transparent about the upfront costs involved in our industry-leading home care, and will never ever try to push you to sign up for any extra hours or services that you don’t want or need. Your local care manager in Cambridge will always be on hand to help you make any changes you wish to make to your support at a moment’s notice.
