My role is the registered branch manager of Maidstone. Home care Chatham -
Since 1989, we have led the way in terms of compassionate and empathetic home care, ensuring that customers always remain in control and at the centre of their care package. Thirty years later, nothing has changed, and our Chatham team do their utmost to uphold this incredibly high standard.
From as little as 30 minutes per week to more regular daily calls, we’re equipped to support you with whatever you need – from helping to prepare your favourite culinary dish to accompanying you to medical appointments.
With our carers so local to you, we’re able to arrange care extremely quickly from your first contact with us, meaning that you can rest assured that help will be on its way. And with our carers being employed directly by us, there’s no need to worry about extra paper work or background checks – we already have this covered.
Equipped in supporting individuals with a variety of conditions from dementia, Parkinson’s and arthritis, to more complex conditions such as spinal and neurological injuries, cerebral palsy and stoma care – our care team are here to support you in whichever way you need.
The great thing about visiting homecare is that you get to choose when and how you receive care, regardless of the complexities of your condition. So the only person in control of your care is the person who matters most – you.

Live-in care to centred around your needs -
Arranging for more support for you or your loved one can be an unsettling time, but with live-in care from the Chatham team we can alleviate any of the worries you may have. The great thing about a live-in carer is that they will live with you in your home and be there whenever you need them – even if that’s several times in the night due to continence issues.
Independence and comfort are our key aims and with that in mind, we work with you to find the right carer suited to your likes and personality. This means that instead of just a carer, you are gaining much more than that – companionship.
With more families than ever choosing live-in care over a residential home, routines and preferences are still maintained. Meal times are whenever you want them to be, as is getting up in the morning and going to bed. And if you want to take a daily trip down to Upnor Castle to marvel at the historic stone work, then that’s exactly what your live-in carer will do.

Elderly care to support your independence
-
Inevitably, things change for all of us as we begin to get older. For some, it may just be that you require a little help getting the washing in or aren’t confident visiting Capstone Country Park by yourself for your morning walk. For others, you may have a progressive condition that requires intensive support to help you get up, dressed and tend to your personal care. Whatever it is, the carers in Chatham will ensure you get the help you need on your terms.
-
Respite care for your short-term needs
-
Care needs can arise at any time for anyone. For an unexpected illness or injury, you may need some short-term support when you’re discharged from hospital to get you back on your feet again. Or perhaps you’re a carer that needs a brief break to recharge your batteries. We can swiftly put a package of care in place and on some occasions, even start care on the same day as your enquiry.
Replicating the care that you may already receive, the team from our Chatham branch will meet with you to discuss your requirements and preferences, giving you peace of mind that you’re in the best hands.
Respite care is also suitable for those wishing to attend events accompanied with a carer or if you want to go on holiday with your main carer but need a bit more support. With the coast being so close to Chatham, you shouldn’t have to miss out on a few sunny days by the seaside because you’re worrying about your care needs. Helping Hands’ respite care allows you to go where you want, when you want, safe in the knowledge that your care needs are put first.
