Tucked between cities Birmingham and Wolverhampton lies the borough of Dudley, the ‘capital’ of the Black Country. Overlooked by the historic 11th century castle, it’s common-place to hear the roars of the lions from the local zoo or see film crews at the local museum. The team at our Dudley Branch take all of this in their stride and offer industry-renowned care within their local community.
Branch Manager Martine and her team have tailored home care options in Blackheath, Brierley Hill, Cradley Heath, Dudley, Rowley Regis, Tipton, Tividale and the surrounding areas.
We’re strong believers of person-centred care designed to fit around your care and needs. Our friendly and compassionate carers can help with both short-term arrangements and long-term solutions.
"I am a mother to three children and two step children. I am married and enjoy spending quality time with my family and making lasting memories. I do enjoy floristry in my spare time and you will often find me creating arrangements and utilising any objects that I can. I like to walk and spend time walking along the local canal, especially in the summer months, with a picnic. I love being involved with community activites and over the last two years have had the privilege of being a volunteer for the charity Re-engage.
"I've got personal experience in care when I assisted with the care on a daily basis for both my grandparents. My gran lived with Alzhiemer's and grandad with vascular dementia and Parkinson's. I realised the importance of having the correct support network around both of my grandparents to enable them to remain at home together and be fulfilled with life. I do realise from this how daunting and overwhelming this can be, as well as some people not knowing what services are available and how best to support loved ones."
For over 30 years, we've been supporting people with care, nurse-supported care and companionship across England and Wales. As industry-leaders in home care, we know what it takes to provide the right level of care so that you can retain your independence in the comfort of your beloved home.

One-to-one support from a fully qualified care that lives with you. Full-time support so you can stay at home where you feel most comfortable.
Since 1989, we have specialised in care within the homes of our customers to suit their needs, and it is something that we still uphold today. It’s not a coincidence that our care is recognised as a leader within our industry; our ability to tailor care for your requirements, with you in mind is why we still exist today.
With such a wealth of knowledge, we’re experienced in helping with anything from housekeeping, companionship and preparing meals, to detailed care for dementia, acquired brain injuries and cerebral palsy.
We understand that care needs can arise for a variety of reasons, at different times and for people of different ages. It might be that you need support getting to and from work safely, or that you need regular reminders to take your medication; we’re here to provide peace of mind for you and your family.
We offer anything from popping in once a week, to routinely calling several times a day, covering the following care needs:
Whether you live as part of a couple or have a beloved pet companion, live-in care offers just that – a carer to live in your home with you to ensure your care needs are fulfilled. And it doesn’t matter what your situation is; our fully-trained carers adjust around your lifestyle and routines to ensure your independence remains intact.
The support provided by the carers in around the Dudley area is always on your terms and specific for your needs. That’s why we create individual care plans for everyone that we care for, providing peace of mind for you and your family.
Trained in dealing with a variety of different conditions and complex injuries, we are able to provide a carer to suit your needs and wishes. We aim to match a member of our team with your personality and preferences – even if it’s someone that loves playing chess, we’ll do our best to find a suitable carer for you.
We recognise how important it is to remain independent in your own home, despite any medical or physical needs you may have. Domiciliary care is the perfect option for you if you still want the freedom of choosing when and how you want to receive care.
Also known as care at home, this form of caregiving is available to young and older adults that need some additional support. Companionship and a friendly face is often what makes all that bit better; our Dudley carers strive to provide care in this way for everyone they look after.
With 30 years’ experience, Helping Hands is a proud ambassador for dementia care. As a specialist in this field, we’re familiar with the different types of dementia, how best to care for those living with the condition and how to support their families.
Although living with dementia can often be unsettling and confusing, we understand the complexities behind this varied condition and can support the symptoms, behaviours and medical issues that may arise. With professionalism and compassion, we’ll help to make you or your loved one feel as comfortable as they can, safe in the knowledge that they’re in their own home.
Part of getting older can mean that we find it more difficult doing the things we used to. For some, there can be more things they find difficult to do, such as getting dressed in the morning or doing the laundry. Elderly care specifically for senior adults bares in mind that you want to keep your independence as much as possible, but that you may just need help around the house or getting out and about.
Centred around choice and catered to your needs, our carers will be there for you to help you maintain your physical and mental well-being.
From time-to-time, your regular caregiver may need to rest and recuperate for a short while, which is when respite care could be the perfect option for you. We’ll ensure we provide the quality care you expect from your own carer and adhere to your routines and timetables, keeping disruption to a minimum.
Emergencies are sometimes unavoidable, but it doesn’t mean that you should go without care. We can organise care in a short space of time if your regular carer is unable to be there or if you need some support at home whilst convalescing after a hospital admission.
As one of the most established care providers in the UK, we know what it takes to be a fantastic carer. Fully-trained in manual handling, health & safety, safeguarding, equality & diversity, medication support and many more, our carers are all trained to the highest standards. We are extremely proud of each and every one of them.
All carers receive full background checks – including Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screening – and are employed by us, taking the stress out of any paperwork or procedures you may have experienced with previous care providers.
We’re delighted to be the only home care provider endorsed as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care, not to mention being fully licensed by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). To ensure we meet with the very highest of standards, all aspects of our service are inspected to ensure we are adhering to strict guidelines and regulations.
If you’d like to discuss your home care options and set up a meeting with Martine and her team, please get in touch with us. We’re here to take your call seven days a week.
