I suddenly needed more help at home very urgently. Within 48 hours Helping Hands visited me, discussed with me my personal preferences, established my care needs in fine detail and introduced a rota of staff according to the times I requested. Their staff have all been polite, respectful, and helpful. They're consistently very punctual and their manner is reliably friendly and willing. What more could I reasonably ask? One of them has a splendid tenor voice! I've had five care providers in the last four years. Three of them were very careless, one stole money from my house. All the employees of other companies used to whinge to me concerning how hard their jobs are and how bad their bosses are. That's not my fault and shouldn't be my problem. The assistance offered by Helping Hands wears a Gucci satin evening glove compared to the boxer's mitt of other providers. I wouldn't recommend them if I wasn't grateful to them. I am very, so I do.

I am a domiciliary carer for helpings hands durham I took a total career change nearly 3 year ago its the best thing I have ever done also I have so much support from the team in the office Caitlin Amanda as I have been through a terrible time this past year putting a smile on someone face helps me carry on with my life

Helping Hands Durham has been providing home care for my 95 year old uncle for about 18 months now, after he had a stroke. We are very happy with the care he receives and also with the excellent communication with the office if we have any queries. I live in the north of Scotland and from day one I have felt reassured about the care my uncle has received.

Visiting care provided by Helping Hands has been consistently reliable and high quality. The service provided by the visiting care team has been excellent, the carers and their managers have always been a pleasure to work with. My brother and I will always be grateful for the support that was so kindly given by Sarah and her team on the day our father died.

Everything is really good.

Now that we have our carer Molly for 3 times a day we have been amazed at the relationship and care she has for Mrs H. The house is immaculate, clean and tidy. Mrs H trusts Molly and makes sure she eats a decent meal 3 times a day. Again Mrs H trusts Molly and listens to instruction regarding taking her medication willingly. We cannot thank HH and Molly in particular for there training , disciplines and above all employing carers who really do care.

We are happy with service. There is the occasional small issue but this has always been addressed satisfactorily.

Very happy with the excellent care that Helping Hands in Durham provides for my Aunt. This is given with kindness and compassion. I know I can trust them to not only alert me to problems but suggest workable solutions. This has been such a relief to know she is being cared for so well as I have not been visiting due to Covid-19. Myself and my family are very grateful

We have had to increase my mothers care recently and due to the current situation were worried this would not be possible. Helping Hands are always so ready to help in any situation. They give you peace of mind and look to find a solution. They always treat the families and the person they care for with the uttermost respect. During this difficult time they are delivering an excellent service whilst having the worry of being exposed to the risk of infection themselves. Well done! What would we do without you.

Helping Hands are responsive to client's needs and develop the care plan with the client at the heart of them. The staff are experienced and caring and also put the client at the centre of all activities. They develop therapeutic relationships with the client's that enable them to work closely to improve that persons quality of life through the provision of care and support in all areas of a persons life.

I have found helping hands are efficient, kind, sensible and thorough. It gives me enormous peace of mind knowing they are there to help us.

Overall we get kind caring sensitive people who try hard to meet our needs. Occasional little issues occur but they are dealt with promptly and supportively.

Even though the person who I needed to talk to wasn't available I was told they would contact me and they did and they managed to accommodate my timescales for an initial assessment. I didn't have to chase anyone up.

Very friendly and knowledgeable conversation. I felt that they were interested in what I had to say. Having called 6 other home care providers and had very mixed replies, this was a breath of fresh air & very reassuring. They were the only ones to follow up with an email too. Really impressed on first impressions!
