From AD 950 until 1650 Frome was larger than Bath, and its primary output was wool and cloth. Despite traditional industry such as metalworking and printing declining, Frome has a thriving arts and sports scene. Named as “the sixth coolest town in Britain” by The Times, Frome has also been recognised as “the best in the South West” by The Sunday Times.
Always wanting to establish ourselves more in the areas we cover, Helping Hands felt that Frome was a place that’s growing in stature and that we should focus on more closely.
