What Is Nursing Care?
Helping Hands’ nursing care is a clinical home care service that supports individuals with complex care needs and is fully managed by our in-house clinical nursing team. This enables people with more complex healthcare conditions to continue living independently at home. Most people presume they’ll have to move out of the home they love and into residential care but that simply isn’t the case.

The Difference Between Nursing Care and Residential Care in Guildford
We’ll always believe that your own home is the best place to receive the care and support you need; after all, it’s where you’re most comfortable. Furthermore, it allows you to have more control over your care plan while receiving personalised, one-to-one support from the same familiar faces. That simply cannot happen in a care home because of the number of residents they have to look after.

Conditions We Support Through Nursing Care
We support people living with a wide range of different conditions, both physical and mental. Our nursing team have extensive clinical experience, meaning our carers support people with conditions including:
MND
Acquired brain injury
Cerebral palsy
Dementia
Parkinsons
Mental health conditions
Learning disabilities
Palliative/End of Life care

Whatever your situation, your local care team in Guildford are ready to answer any questions you might have about nursing care.

Nursing Care at Home vs. a Nursing Home in Guildford
While nursing homes usually have a nurse on site, they will have responsibility for tens of residents. There will also be a rotation of care assistants who will have many people under their responsibility. Remaining at home for your nursing care means that you’ll have access to the expertise of our clinical nursing team, who will manage and support your carer and ensure that they have all the knowledge and skills they need. Your carer will be focussed on only you, providing one-to-one support whenever you need it.
