Branch Care Manager
I have worked in care for over seven years starting as from NHS I had the opportunity to work in West Middlesex hospital and Chelsea and Westminster hospital as booking coordinator. From there I progressed to Mihome care as a senior care coordinator managing 80 carers and overseeing 2000 weekly hours for Kensington and Chelsea Branch. This experience provided me with a unique perspective on the health care industry emphasising the importance of efficient coordination and compassionate patient care. In my role as a client liaison coordinator at Draycott Nursing and Care, I had the privilege of being at the fourth front of fostering positive relationships between our clients and carers. One of my key responsibilities were supporting new client enquiries, where I ensured that individuals and families received comprehensive information about our services addressing concerns with empathy and expertise. I also gained experience working closely with our clinical nurse team gaining valuable insights into the healthcare aspects of the service. I have been a Service Delivery Manager in Sugarman Health - Watford and Birmingham Branch leading 5000 hours service for the Complex care team During my tenure as a Service Delivery Manager at Sugarman Health, I had the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization’s operations and client services across multiple branches, particularly in Watford and Birmingham. Managing an extensive workload of 5000 hours spread across 9 territories, including regions such as Midlands, North Hampshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Surrey, and London, provided me with invaluable experience in overseeing diverse and complex care requirements. A key aspect of my role involved leading a dedicated team of care coordinators and field care supervisors. Through effective leadership and strategic planning, I ensured seamless coordination between our office staff and caregivers in the field. By fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, I empowered my team to deliver high-quality care services, tailored to the unique needs of our clients in each territory. Additionally, I played a vital role in supporting our service office by facilitating the acquisition of new care packages, contributing to the growth and sustainability of our business. My ability to establish and maintain positive relationships within the local community allowed me to work closely with community groups, building partnerships that benefited both our clients and our organization. This collaborative approach not only enhanced our service delivery but also reinforced our commitment to the communities we served. During my time as a care manager at Curacare I took on different approaches to ensure the growth of the business one of my key strategies involved actively engaging with the local community, forging partnerships, and building strong relationships within our immediate vicinity. I did this by understand the unique needs of the local community I was able to tailor our services to meet the specific requirements of our clients.

Domiciliary care as and when you need
-
Allowing our customers to regain independence and control over their care is what the Hemel Hempstead team strive to do for everyone they assist. Just because you require visiting care, it doesn’t mean that you should have to adhere to strict times or routines, which is why we work collaboratively with you to put a care plan into place.
Domiciliary care doesn’t just mean that we pop in, complete your care needs and not see you until your next appointment. If you need extra calls, then we can adapt to your needs, or if you want us to take you for a gentle stroll in Gadebridge Park, then we will gladly do so.
-
Dementia care that puts you at the centre
-
Living with dementia can be difficult for both the individual and their family, but our experienced dementia care team are here to make sure you don’t have to go through this alone. Trained by our expert team, all of our carers are dementia specialists and equipped to support you with the symptoms, behaviours and adjustments that come with a dementia diagnosis.
We understand how important routines are when living with dementia. That’s why we’ll make sure your care plan is left unaltered and the same familiar faces of our Hemel Hempstead team pop into to look after you, ensuring that any anxieties or worries are alleviated as much as possible.
-
Elderly care to maintain your independence
-
As time goes by, things that you once used to be able to do may now be a little more difficult. Instead of doing everything for you, the team aim to assist you with what you used to be able to do, rather than taking over completely. After all, person-centred care means that your care is based around you.
And if you do develop a medical condition or become more unsteady on your feet, we’ll adapt your care to counteract this – whether that’s helping you with mobility aids and preventing trips and falls, or adding more care calls throughout the day to help you to cook meals and get in and out of bed safely.
-
Respite care for emergencies or short-term breaks
-
Care needs can arise at any given time, and if you’re left in a situation where you urgently need support, we’re able to put care in place often on the same day that you enquire. It might be that you’ve just been discharged from hospital and are unable to get around your house safely to tidy up, or your regular caregiver may have to attend a family emergency – whatever your situation is, we can swiftly arrange respite care and lessen the load of any worries that you may have.
Respite care is also a great way for you and your family to enjoy a holiday together, where all of you are able to enjoy a real break and not have to worry about your care needs. A member of the team will accompany you to your chosen destination and make sure you have everything you need – whether you’re off to London for a couple of days or you’re heading to a more tropical climate abroad.

Friendly carers in your local area
-
We’re extremely proud of all of our Hemel Hempstead carers, as they really are what makes us renowned for providing the very best care across the area. Their passion, kindness and professionalism are second-to-none.
As well as being a friendly face that lights up your day, all of our carers go through a strict training programme, covering modules such as safeguarding, dementia, manual handling and first aid. They are also put through a stringent recruitment process, with several references required from previous positions and Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) screenings before they begin their Helping Hands journey.
All of our branches, including Hemel Hempstead, are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which means that our services are fully compliant with the CQC’s guidelines for safe, effective and responsive care. We are the only home care provider endorsed as a Centre of Excellence by Skills for Care. We’re also a founding member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA), who promote the highest standards for both care and staff within home care organisations.
