Our carers are the heart of our business and having them support you at home means you get exceptional home care standards from the best in the industry. For over 30 years we’ve been supporting people to stay comfortable and safe in the home they love, and we’re also fully regulated by the CQC and CIW. We can support you in and around Neston, Little Neston, Parkgate, Windle Hill, Willaston, Burton, Puddington, Eastham, Irby, Thingwall, Pensby and the surrounding areas.
Neston’s name comes from the Old Norse Nes-tún, meaning ‘farmstead or settlement at/near a promontory or headland’ and as proof, it shares its name with a town near Bergen in Norway. It also gets a mention in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Nestone.
We love and respect heritage at Helping Hands as over our 30-year history we have developed an expert knowledge of how best to care for people in their own homes. Thanks to our visiting and live-in care services you can have full confidence in us to support you to live your best life possible.
"As the Regional Care Director for the north, I am responsible for all types of care delivery to our customers - whether it be live-in care or our hourly service. My role involves ensuring that our carers deliver a consistent and seamless high quality of care to our customers. I manage a team of dedicated, hardworking people who strive to deliver a fantastic service.
"Following a highly successful career in welfare to work, recruitment and training, I wanted to look at a fresh challenge, and following some research and numerous conversations ,I believed that the care sector would be a good fit and that I could easily transfer my skills and experience into this role."

Whether you have mild or complex care needs, with live-in care from Helping Hands your care will be tailored around you and the routine you like your day to follow, meaning that you always remain firmly at the centre of your own care journey. Your compassionate carer will ensure that your independence is promoted at all times, thanks to your personalised support plan and your bespoke package of care means you get to live your life the way you wish.
We’ve never been a home care agency – we’re a private home care company and what we do is always backed up by our 30 years of experience and the knowledge we’ve gained over that time. Agencies will often charge you to be ‘matched’ with a carer and make them work as self-employed, meaning they’re thinking about the associated administration instead of focusing on your care, whereas sourcing your perfect carer is all part of our bespoke home care service.
Domiciliary care is care you receive in your own home, and thanks to our fully regulated and managed service, our compassionate carers will always promote your independence and ensure you are cared for to the very highest standards. You’ll have a personalised support plan with your bespoke package of care that will ensure your routines and preferences for your care are always followed, and whether you choose visiting or live-in care we will ensure you live your best life possible within your own home.
At Helping Hands, we understand dementia, and thanks to our 30 years of experience supporting people with their dementia care, we guarantee that specialist guidance and support will always be available. Remaining in your own home can be beneficial when you’re living with dementia, as being in familiar surroundings can help to reduce confusion and anxiety. Our amazing carers will help you to create, preserve and reflect on memories every step of the way as the condition progresses.
If you need temporary support due to an accident, illness or your regular carer taking a scheduled break, you may find respite care at home beneficial. If you’re not keen on the idea of moving out of the home you love just to go to residential care then there’s no need, as our compassionate carers will come to you on either a visiting or live-in basis and even in an emergency, we can get care to you within 24 hours.
As we age, we can sometimes feel frailer, which can cause difficulties in our everyday life and mean that our usual tasks become trickier to complete. If you’re struggling with vacuuming, preparing meals, personal care, housework or anything else from your daily routine you should talk to us about elderly care, as our amazing carers will come to you as often as you need them and make your day-to-day life more enjoyable.
We truly feel that our carers are the best in the industry, partly because we train them so well but mainly because we only select people to work for us who share our ethos for delivering the highest standards of person-centred care. Training is all very well but we can’t teach people to be compassionate and empathetic, so we only accept people who have it naturally. Because we’re fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales you can have the highest levels of confidence in our ability to look after you or your loved ones.
Every one of our carers is a dementia specialist
