At Helping Hands, we’ve been providing dedicated, empathetic home care across England and Wales since 1989, giving thousands of customers independence the independence and confidence to enjoy a better quality of life without having to sacrifice their hobbies and interests or moving to a residential nursing home.

Spalding’s name is derived from an Anglo-Saxon tribe, the Spaldingas, who established the town in the 7th century BC. Nowadays, Spalding has a worldwide reputation as a centre of the bulb industry, with the town’s annual tulip parade being a major tourist attraction during the 20th century and the first ever World Tulip Summit taking place in the town in 2008.
At Helping Hands, we provide compassionate, specialist home care to customers in Spalding that helps them to blossom and flourish, no matter what stage of life you’re at. With fully customisable care plans starting from just 30 minutes a week, your needs and wishes will always be at the heart of your home care.
"My role is to manage and support a number of branches in the East region and oversee the service that we provide. As a people person, I love working with our staff and customers and am really proud of the positive difference we make to people's lives.
I enjoy visiting my branches and the variety that my job gives me every day. Our carers are amazing and really have a passion for delivering exceptional care. I grew up in Lincolnshire and now live in Nottingham. In my spare time, I love to travel and visit all the places on my bucket list."

Fully flexible care packages as your needs change
Flexible care provided in your own home with a fully qualified carer. Visits start from as little as 30 minutes up to several hourly or overnight calls throughout the week.
One-to-one support from a fully qualified care that lives with you. Full-time support so you can stay at home where you feel most comfortable.
There may come a point in your care journey when you require a more permanent level of care than visiting care can provide. When that time comes, we’re able to provide you with a live-in carer who will live in your home full time and support your care needs around the clock, ensuring you’re never left isolated and unable to do the things around the house that need doing. It can be frustrating when things that used to be straightforward start to become time consuming and physically challenging, but having a live-in carer take care of you and your home can help reduce your stress levels and maintain your wellbeing.
At Helping Hands, we’re able to provide you with one of our empathetic, dedicated carers at short notice – normally within 24 hours of your call – for those moments when you unexpectedly find yourself without the support you need. It might be that you’ve been discharged from hospital earlier than anticipated, or your regular carer is taking a long holiday and hasn’t been able to arrange cover. Whatever your reason, we’ll always be happy to help with emergency care.
When you use a private care provider such as Helping Hands, the power is in your hands. You’ll have control over what your care plan looks like – from hours of care per week to meal preferences, everything will be customisable to your needs and wishes. Our care is always completely centred around you, the customer, so you can be fully assured that you’ll be at the heart of every decision that is made.
As well as helping you to make the most of every day, our overnight carers will also support you throughout the night. Night time can often be when we feel at our most vulnerable or lonely, so having a friendly companion in your home can be a great source of comfort and reassurance – both for you and your family. It also means that if you have a medical emergency or a fall in the middle of the night, or just need a bit of help with continence, someone will be there to assist you straight away.
When you get in touch with your Spalding care team, you can do so safe in the knowledge that you’re in expert hands. All of our care staff have been selectively recruited for their compassionate, kind approach to care, and have received our award-winning training which equips them to provide you with exceptional care in your home. Every carer undergoes thorough background checks, and all of our care provision is independently regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales – giving you complete peace of mind about our absolute commitment to exceptionally high standards of care.
