What's included with care at Helping Hands?

The care you receive from Helping Hands depends entirely on you and your needs. Our carers are all fully trained professionals who genuinely enjoy their work and will go out of their way to improve your quality of life. They are happy to assist with everyday household tasks like shopping and preparing healthy meals, organizing medications, and even pet care or watering the plants. Our carers offer complete support, and will be just as happy to offer a reassuring word or some friendly companionship when necessary.

Respite Care

You may not need regular home care services from us but instead opt to reach out when your usual carer is not available for any reason. We understand that carers also need a little TLC now and then, so we’re happy to send someone over to your home to fill in for a carer who’s on holiday or taking some much needed rest. Respite care is also great for emergency situations when you can’t be there, but still need someone to look after your loved in your absence.

Many of our clients, however, seek respite care simply because they need an extra pair of hands, whether that’s during the busy holiday season or in the weeks after a hospital procedure when they need extra support. You can rest secure in the knowledge that things are being taken care of until you get back on your feet.

Dementia Care

Memory impairment and dementia conditions such as Alzheimer’s can be a challenge to manage day to day, but a dementia carer can bring a sense of continuity, safety and comfort to seniors in their own homes, or provide overnight care if needed. Your loved one will receive the full attention of a patient, compassionate and experienced carer. Dementia is a progressive condition that can be somewhat unpredictable. Because care needs change from day to day, a level of flexibility is required. Our carers are there to help, and can be a familiar and friendly face in your loved one’s everyday life.

Elderly Care

Our philosophy is to provide care that slots in around your daily routine, in the place where you’re happiest: at home. Seniors who are living with limited mobility or the symptoms of chronic medical conditions may find life is a lot easier with someone standing by to assist. Compared to moving to residential care home, elderly care received in the comfort of your own home is customizable, and we can make sure that you receive as little or as much care as you need, on your own terms, and without losing any of your independence. Our carers take the time to genuinely get to know you, and anticipate your daily needs.

Widnes' best care agency

Unlike conventional residential care homes, and unlike other home care options in Widnes today, Helping Hands truly has both the expertise and experience needed to make a real difference in you and your family’s life. We only work with directly hired professionals and never agency staff, since we like to get to know our carer, and ensure that they share the same passion for care that we do. We believe it’s our commitment to care that is both personal and personalized that puts us above our competition.
