We can support you in and around Albury, Farley Green, Little London, Brook, Gumshall, Burrows Cross, Peaslake, Abinger Hammer, Wotton, Westcott, and the surrounding areas.
Albury has a long history and appears in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Eldeberie, but the name ‘Albury’ derives from the Old English ald (old) and burh (fortification).
Helping Hands have an impressive heritage to support us too, with over 30 years of home care experience to our name. Our visiting and live-in service will ensure that you are expertly supported in the home you love and with visits starting from just 30 minutes a week we’re the experts when it comes to caring for you at home.
"Hi, I’m Abi and I’m the branch manager for Guildford. I am responsible for the smooth running of the Guildford branch and ensuring that all our customers and carers are looked after. I began working in care 8 years ago when I realised that I could make a difference, and I have never looked back. At the Guildford branch we have a fantastic group of carers who are always willing to go above and beyond. I am proud that we can support people within the local community to live happily and independently within their own homes."
For over 30 years, we've been supporting people with care, nurse-supported care and companionship across England and Wales. As industry-leaders in home care, we know what it takes to provide the right level of care so that you can retain your independence in the comfort of your beloved home.
Over 100 branches across the UK means we're local to you

If you want care within your own home from a company who has more than 30 years of experience, then talk to Helping hands. We offer visiting care from just 30 minutes a week, delivered by compassionate carers who go above and beyond to ensure you live your best life possible independently at home. We can offer personalised one-to-one support with personal care, medication administration, mobility support, meal preparation, housework and so much more, including taking you to appointments, activities and days out.
If you’d like to remain in your own home, whether you’re living with complex needs or lower level conditions, having live-in care means there will be someone available to care for you around the clock or to offer you companionship when you’d like it. This doesn’t mean they’ll be under your feet all the time though; our compassionate carers are discreet and will recognise when you’d rather have some time to yourself, especially if you have friends or family visiting.
We’ve never been an agency; at Helping Hands we are a private home care company who always puts our carers and our customers at the centre of everything we do. After all, without you, we wouldn’t have a business! Our carers are highly valued for their selflessness and going above and beyond to offer superlative care to our customers and this means they’ll be motivated to care for you the best way possible.
Domiciliary care, or care at home, is highly beneficial because it means you get to stay in the place you love most of all, while having all your care needs seen to. We offer two types of care, visiting and live-in, and with care visits starting from just 30 minutes per week, whether you’d like someone to pop in for a cup of tea and a chat or you’d like around the clock, live-in support, we can help. Remember though, it’s care in your own home so you’re always in control of your care journey.
When you’ve been diagnosed with dementia, it can feel as if everything is up in the air and life suddenly holds no certainties, but if you need some advice about care you should talk to Helping Hands. While you may not need dementia care until further along your dementia journey, it can be a good idea to have things tentatively in place so that if it becomes necessary, you are already prepared. Arranging it in advance also means that you get to discuss your preferences with your family, rather than waiting for a time when they may have to make decisions on your behalf.
If you don’t usually receive care but have a special occasion coming up where you’d benefit from it, or perhaps your regular carer is in need of a well-earned break and you need someone to cover for them, respite care could be the answer. If you’re not keen on going into residential care either it can be ideal, as our carers come to you. You might be recovering at home after an accident, illness or surgery or you might just want to try out care at home to see if it’s a good fit for you. Even in an emergency we’ll be there for you, getting a carer into your home within 24 hours.
Elderly care from Helping Hands can be beneficial when you’re living with age-related frailties or the after-effects of an illness or accident, because it can help with some of those household and daily tasks that may otherwise be becoming a little too difficult to do yourself. This could be vacuuming, taking a bath or shower, laundry, preparing meals or so much more, so if you feel you’d appreciate some help, talk to us today.
We believe our carers are the best in the industry because we’re really careful about who we select to work for us, picking people who share our ethos and are passionate about delivering high quality, person-centred care. We also train our carers thoroughly and screen them through the Disclosure and Barring Service, so you have the added reassurance of knowing that only people who should be entering your home are doing so. We’re also fully regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales so you can be fully confident in our high standards of care.
