Home care in Bloxwich
Visiting care and home care in Bloxwich
Bloxwich has very early beginnings, at least at the time of the Anglo-Saxons, if not before. It also made it into the Domesday Book of 1086 under the name ‘Blockeswich’; the origins of the name suggests it was the village of a family named Bloc.
We take great pride in our name at Helping Hands, having worked our way up from small beginnings back in 1989 to be the leading home care provider across the whole of England and Wales. Our visiting and live-in care services support thousands of customers every week and with visits starting from just 30 minutes, we’re guaranteed to be able to put together a bespoke package of care for you or your loved ones.

Branch Care Manager
As the Branch Manager for Helping Hands Walsall, my main role is to ensure that we provide a high quality and safe service. I make sure that the branch runs smoothly day-to-day ensuring that both customers and carers are happy. Our main goal is to ensure that we provide person centred care and achieve positive outcomes. I joined helping hands in February 2019 but have worked in care for over ten years, starting as a carer for a nursing home in Wolverhampton. I have worked with people with various needs and dependency levels. I became a senior carer for the dementia unit and this quickly became my main passion. I became a dementia friend and began to actively raise money for the Alzheimer's society. I joined Helping Hands as a care Coordinator for the Wolverhampton branch and I am now Branch Manager for Walsall. After caring for my grandad, who had Alzheimer's, I knew my calling was to work in the health care sector. I am extremely passionate about keeping people at home in their own environment and with their routine. A bit about me - I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends. I have two young children and two dogs. My ideal day would be a trip to the farm or zoo, followed by a picnic in the park. I enjoy listening to music and cooking/trying new food.

Better than a care agency in Bloxwich
-
Helping Hands isn’t and never has been a home care agency, we’re proud of our status as a private home care company that has been established since 1989. Agencies can often keep things hidden from you, such as the fact that your carer will be self-employed or that you may have to employ them yourself, whereas we directly employ all of our carers so that they can just concentrate on taking care of you.
-

We are a home care company with over 30 years of experience in the industry, so you can be sure that we are experts at what we do, and we always ensure that promoting your independence is our primary motivation.

Staying in familiar surroundings can help to reduce confusion and anxiety too.
