We can support you in and around Bloxwich, Wallington Heath, Heath End, Rushall, Shelfield and the surrounding areas.
Bloxwich has very early beginnings, at least at the time of the Anglo-Saxons, if not before. It also made it into the Domesday Book of 1086 under the name ‘Blockeswich’; the origins of the name suggests it was the village of a family named Bloc.
We take great pride in our name at Helping Hands, having worked our way up from small beginnings back in 1989 to be the leading home care provider across the whole of England and Wales. Our visiting and live-in care services support thousands of customers every week and with visits starting from just 30 minutes, we’re guaranteed to be able to put together a bespoke package of care for you or your loved ones.
"I have worked in care for 25 years and started my care career in Cornwall where I worked with adults with learning disabilities. When I moved back to Wolverhampton, I continued to work in this sector and progressed to a senior carer in domiciliary care. I have been a registered manager for the last three and a half years.
"I have two children and most of my time outside of work is spent with them. I enjoy spending time in the garden, and since lockdown I have taken a keen interest in gardening and baking."
For over 30 years, we've been supporting people with care, nurse-supported care and companionship across England and Wales. As industry-leaders in home care, we know what it takes to provide the right level of care so that you can retain your independence in the comfort of your beloved home.

Helping Hands isn’t and never has been a home care agency, we’re proud of our status as a private home care company that has been established since 1989. Agencies can often keep things hidden from you, such as the fact that your carer will be self-employed or that you may have to employ them yourself, whereas we directly employ all of our carers so that they can just concentrate on taking care of you.
Our fully regulated and managed domiciliary care service means that you get the very best care in your own home from highly motivated and dedicated carers, who always have your wellbeing as the priority. We are a home care company with over 30 years of experience in the industry, so you can be sure that we are experts at what we do, and we always ensure that promoting your independence is our primary motivation.
Remaining in your own home for dementia care can be highly beneficial, thanks to the familiarity of surroundings and the ability to follow your own routine, such as having your meals when you want and going to bed at a time to suit you. As your journey progresses, we even have clinical support and nursing available for customers who require it, so we really can help throughout your journey living with dementia. Staying in familiar surroundings can help to reduce confusion and anxiety too.
If you need immediate care within 24 hours due to an unexpected hospital discharge or your care becoming ill, we can help – although respite care is also for the planned events of life! Perhaps your regular carer is taking a well-earned break or your family are going on holiday; maybe they want you to go with them and you’d appreciate a carer going too so that you all get to enjoy yourselves? Whatever the circumstances, respite care from Helping hands can be for days or weeks of support.
With elderly care from Helping Hands you can get support with all those daily tasks that may be becoming a little more difficult, perhaps due to age-related frailties or because of an injury or condition. To support them in that we train them thoroughly and offer opportunities for progression, so they remain motivated and offer levels of excellence to our customers.
